Okay so I'm just getting started with DIY, but I've seen the phrase "if I had to do it all over again, I would skip the syringes and mix by weight" enough times that you guys have convinced me. Now the hard part is just deciding which scale I should buy. I think I'm gonna pass on the $100 myWeigh or whatever it's called and go for one of the cheaper ones, though not (necessarily) the cheapest one. These are the three I'm looking at, anyone care to chime in with thoughts on any of them?

Got any gripes with it? Something you wish it did, that it doesn't do (or vice versa?) I was wondering if the calibration function on the black one is worth the extra five bucks, but it isn't really only five bucks, is it? It's five bucks plus however much it costs for the calibration weights...
I would go for either of the 500 gram ones. Wall adapter is nice to have. I'm sure they all can be calibrated, but you'll need a calibration weight (usually one equivalent to the max capacity, may want to search for an online manual to be sure). If you like the white one better, you may as well go for that one as the performance is likely the same and it's cheaper.
I also own the white (middle) one. It's great for my needs in this DIY world. It has served me well for teh past 9 months.
The "calibrate-able" one may be worth the extra $5 - not sure since mine is right-on.
Get yourself a roll of new nickles from the bank and you will have a set of calibration weights.. Google "weight of a nickle" and you will see it is 5 grams.

This scale goes beyond the $9 dollar one you posted.
Measurements are very accurate with this.
I don't like those cheap flat scales...i like something with a metal top (old school).

Thanks for the input folks, I think I'm sold on the white one (400C) since you say it can be calibrated. That was about the only thing pushing me towards the black one, but I like the sleek, straight-line "laboratory" look of this one more than the curvy and "organic" look of the other one. Now, on to the next piece:

Let me just say that while having so-called sterile pipettes is cool and all, they are a pain in the back side to have to open all those boogers! I would use mine a whole lot more if I didn't have to unwrap them all. I got a big box of them, but at any given mixing session I could use up to 30 or more, but opening all of them would be too much. I generally use them now in very specific situations for when I only need a few. I wish I hadn't bought the 'sterile' ones, but then again, it ain't like I spent more than the cost of couple candy bars.

Point taken. I suppose the rest of my gear (reused bottles and stuff) won't be sterile either, nor would syringes be after the first time I used them.
by weight?? do you plan on making gallons of juice at a time or ml? the lower the weight/volume the more accurate the scale needs to be....
What Level of Accuracy do You feel is Needed when making 30ml of e-Liquid?
if I was to use a scale, the bathroom scale would probably give me some errors
I would be more inclined to use my scale I use for reloading ammo.... for 30ml but I prefer medical syringes and volume... never can tell if the nic base is 100% DOBC
I haven't got my scale yet but from what I understand, they're plenty accurate enough for our purposes. The ones we're looking at are sensitive to the order of 0.01g. There are milligram scales that measure to the 0.001g, but they're much more expensive, and since there's no way to dispense that small of an amount anyway (a single drop of liquid is roughly 0.03-0.04g), it makes little sense to go below 0.01g. It doesn't get much more accurate than "to within a quarter of a drop." I defy you to get that sort of precision from any syringe or graduated cylinder.
