Hey Leti, The vodka/water is zero by default. I never had to enter a value. Just like when I enter the PG, the VG automatically changes.

Why would someone use vodka in their juice? Is it to thin it or is it to increase throat hit or what?
Either or both. I use distilled water since I prefer high vg and dislike pg th. Same reason I use salts rather than freebase. I also have occasional problems with the "heavy lung" feeling; just bumping up the dw 1-2 percent works well for me.
I would suspect throat hit, and then maybe flavor. There are a few recipes there that add PGA (pure grain alcohol).
Oh wow! I had no idea! Many years ago I think I remember reading someone saying to add vodka to increase throat hit, but pure grain alcohol is heavy duty stuff!
I've mixed five juices so far. The OSDIYS Blue Slushie is good, but the other four are steeping. I've had problems with being precise when adding things to the mix, especially when it comes to VG and PG.
Does anyone have any tips for me on upping my precision when mixing? Do you typically toss a mix when any of the measurements are above what the recipe calls for?

I put my base liquids in condiment bottles and use a pipette for nic. Flavors I just drip from the bottle it comes in or decant into a PET bottle. You'll get better when you find your groove, just takes a bit of practice. No I don't dump overpours. If flavor is too much just add a bit of base if base is too much add a couple drops of flavor. Or I just steep and see what I get.
Thanks Letitia! That makes me feel better. I remember a friend telling me one of the best things about mixing by weight is that accuracy is easier which makes the juice better. I'll keep working on my precision mixing. I've got some squeeze bottles for the PG and VG that I need to keep practicing with. I'm glad to know you don't dump overpours! I've got a bunch of them. Hopefully, they'll be okay, or I am able to do as you suggest and add a bit of flavoring if needed.
If you use the same base ratios for all your mixes it's easier to just make a few hundred mls of premixed base. Unless you're using very high flavor percentages the nic, pg, and vg difference will be negligible. This is what I do to steam line the mixing sessions. Precision isn't a high priority for me. Started out like you though and honestly can't tell much if any difference in my juices. Neither can Meg, a friend I mix for. Premix her base as well.

the only reason it says 'you are missing ingredients' is because you did not list your flavors. I never did from the beginning and now it is too late (too many to list) and mine always says "you are missing some"
Just me... But I found that the More I did DIY, the less Extreme Precision was important.
At the end of the day, if you Can't taste the Difference between One Batch to Another, your Precision is High Enough.
