Mixing Question

Drew,

I am vaping your Root Beer Float like there is no tomorrow. I do however want to see if I could bump it up a notch to 36mg. (I am still in the "need nic" stage).

I have a bottle of your 48 unflavored, do I just add some of that? What would the ratio be for a 6ml bottle?

I played around with the DIY excel sheet I found on ECF, but I think that is for cutting down only??? Not really sure.

I think all of Drew's juices are 24mg unless otherwise stated, such as the 12mg high voltage. So in that case you would just do a 1 to 1 mixture. But that is if you were just to do a mixing of the root beer and the unflavored. If you start adding alcohol, water, and flavoring as stated in that chart it might be a little bit different but not by too much.

I guess what threw me off is that there is no option (on the spreadsheet) to cut with another nic content.

I can't make a link for you, but if you go to the main E-cig forum and then go to Tips & Tricks then to the sub heading DIY e-liquid you'll be able to find alot of different excel sheets that tell you how to cut your liquid.

I think LADA might be wrong on that 1-1 mixture.

You can correct me if i'm wrong , but the way i see it is:

6ml rootbeer 24mg
+
6ml unflavored 48mg
=
12ml rootbeer 48mg 8-o


Say you have 6ml unflavored at 48mg.
If you add another 6ml of water (no, dont do this)
That would give you 12ml of unflavored at 24mg deluted with water.

If you use rootbeer at 24mg instead of water = 24mg+24mg (48mg)

If your trying to get 36mg rootbeer I would add
3ml of unflavored 48mg
+
6ml of rootbeer 24mg
=
9ml of rootbeer 36mg (12mg + 24mg)

But like i said, correct me if i'm wrong.
Does get confusing the more you think about it.

Total them up
Divide by total of all (ml) used.

Example...

3ml of unflavored 48mg (3X48=144mgs)

6ml of rootbeer 24mg (6X24=144mgs)

9ml of rootbeer (144+144)/9=32mg**

** This will be 2/3rds normal flavour strength due to dilution.

I'm surprised this formula ain't stickied in the Tips & Tricks DIY e-liquid section. Would deffinatly help a lot of poeple from guestimating like myself.

Yeah...it works especially well when using multiple ingredients, each with different strengths.

5ml unflavored 36mg nic +
8ml 24mg root beer +
3ml loranns peach +
7ml 18mg tobacco +
6ml 12mg banana +
1ml alcohol

=

180(5X36) plus
192(8X24) plus
zero plus
126(7X18) plus
72(6X12) plus
zero

570(mg)total/ 30(ml) =

30mls of 19 mg liquid punch
