Actually it's almost 17 amps. But even 16 amps is getting uncomfortably close to the maximum that battery is rated for.
Personally, I wouldn't go below 0.42 ohms, or 10 amps -- one half of the battery's maximum rated current. When you are using a battery that contains a huge amount of energy just an inch or two away from your face, it is best to err on the side of caution.
And if you have other 26650
batteries that are rated for less than the 20 amps your MNKE battery is, I wouldn't go above half of the
lowest rated battery you own. Even if they are different colors. We humans tend to make mistakes, and I would definitely not want to try to pull 10 amps from a battery rated for a maximum of 5 amps, thinking that I put the MNKE battery in when I actually put in the lower-rated battery.
