So im new to vaping and am considering purchasing my first mod. My friend that got me into it ordered a turtleship v2 hcigar clone on ebay but was highly disappointed with the quality. When comparing it to his Caravella he noticed that the battery had up and down as well as side to side wiggle room which seemingly lessened the quality of the mod. He seemed to think it had something to do with the adjustable (delrin?) piece at the bottom (sorry noob here). The mods I was considering were the turtleship v2, nemesis, or stingray which I am pretty sure all have this piece. He mentioned something about a nipple top battery rather than a flat top that may help this but I just want to make the right decision the first time on my mod and not have to return it. Is there anything that I need to know because I am now very skeptical of buying any mod with this delrin piece? Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The battery rattle in the Turtleship is a design flaw that the authentic Turtleship mod has. Hcigar did a 1:1 clone so it has the same flaw. The flaw is indeed a poorly designed delrin ring. There are several ways to help shim it up, but it's just a bad design.

The Nemesis is absolutely fantastic with button top batteries. There are some fitment issues if you use both flattop batteries and a Kick. It's one of the best hitting mods out there with some of the lowest under-load voltage drops.

Stingray is also very good and reliable. It does have more voltage drop under load than the Nemesis, but it's not a huge difference.

Both mods support 18650 batteries and a Kick module, both are hard hitting, both are very high quality. Toss a coin here.
