Mod standard 510 chargers to quick charge eGo/Tornado batteries

is it possible?

on my standard 510 charger it charges @ 150ma. on TW site it says that it would take approx 4 hours to fully charge a tornado battery (from full discharge im assuming).

if you buy their usb quick charger....it charges the tornado battery in approx 90 minutes. since i do not have their quick charger...i am assuming it must charge at around 500ma.

My Janty fast charger is at 500ma.. that's what it says on the charger... By Blackberry charger chargers at 150Ma. so you are correct

slight correction..the output of the wall adapter for the janty is 500 mA..the usb part output is 420 mA..

I'm not a modder so I have no idea if it's possible to mod the mains charger to output the 420 mA instead...I do know though that I wouldn't personally try it cuz if you put a standard 510 on the quick charger bad things would happen..

i brought this up because since the eGo/Tornado is growing rapidly in popularity and many here have 510's...many including myself...will be charging eGo/Tornado batteries with existing 510 standard chargers.

If I'm not mistaken, these batteries are supposed to be 650mah. Li-ion batteries should be fine to charge at upto 1C (650ma in this case). So any li-ion charger under that should be fine.

Just make sure you're around to deal with any fires when you charge your batteries...
