Imren Green 40A 3200mAh 18650 Bench Retest Results...now 10A, shame on you Imren!
Based off of that link you sent me, I don't have the 10A ones. Mine are IMREN in WHITE with the top contact being round with four 'legs'. Mine look like the 17A, still not 40A, but still enough.
If you vape at 40-50 watts these batteries will die over time, then worse case scenario vent & cause big issues.
Get Samsung 30qs or LG HG2, these batteries will do fine for your vaping :)

It is up to the user to select appropriate cells, there is a batteries & chargers sub forum for questions & battery dialog, and mooch has blogs explaining all aspects of the cells we use in simple terms.

Where you buy is equally important. There are several highly reccomended vendors for batteries, my first choice is always ---> Batteries and Chargers
No vendor knows what you intend to do with the cells, your vaping style or amp requirements, so it is all but impossible for them to make a recommendation without knowing the details of each individuals usage.

Again, it is up to the user to ask questions or educate themselves on proper battery selection & basic battery saftey.

Internal battery power devices aren't really any 'safer' than external battery power devices.
With all batteries, as they are used & age the capacity is reduced, meaning even unused they slowly go bad over time, when used at their CDR more rapidly, when abused much more rapidly.
When an internal battery device no longer holds a charge for suitable amount of time or will not charge you throw away the device & buy a new one.
External cell devices, buy a couple $6 new cells & continue to vape.

Pop your batteries in the IPV, I think the D3 will show battery sag like the D2 does. From what it sounds like me are 2 issues.
1: Overrated batteries hitting the limit.
2: The batteries are either going soft or not up to the task. I suspect at about 3.6V (50%'ish) your load when firing on the battery is dropping the voltage lower than the mod can fire.

If you test them on the D3 and it does indeed show the battery sag. I bet you'll take a hit and watch the battery indicator go from 50% to 0%.

Either way... new batteries will cure your issues.

Maybe I'll just go back to the internal batteries! I'm so tired of having so many issues. If y'all only knew what all I've gone through just to vape, you'd understand why this frustrates me so much. I spent $50 just over 3 months ago on these batteries.

I know it's incredibly frustrating to spend your money on something that's misrepresented. The battery rewrapping issue is something that upsets a lot of us.

To summarize the issue, the only batteries good for vaping are made by Samsung, LG and Sony (though Sony recently sold its battery-manufacturing division, so that gets a little murky). There are lower-rated 18650s that are perfectly good for other uses - flashlights are common - but aren't suitable for vaping.

Other companies - Imren, Efest etc. buy batteries from the manufacturers. The ones they buy are often the ones that didn't meet the requirements to be branded by the big name manufacturers. Then they wrap them with their own branding and specs. The "pulse rating" is essentially meaningless because there's no standard for how long a pulse is and how much rest time there is between pulses, so companies can and do make all sorts of claims.

How do I know where to buy them? I've been buying batteries from www.imrbatteries.com for years.

If you look at the bottom of the chart I linked earlier, you'll see a listing of reliable vendors. Here it is again in case it got lost in the confusion:
Mooch's Recommended Batteries | E-Cigarette Forum

Your vendor - imrbatteries.com - is on there, so they should be OK as long as you buy the right batteries. LG HG2s and Samsung 30Qs are often used with regulated mods. They're good to 50 - 55 W per battery and have capacities of 3000 mah.

The good news is that good batteries aren't really more expensive than unreliable ones. It's just a matter of knowing which ones they are.

Good luck, and I hope this helps sort out your problems.

Thank you all for that info! As frustrating as it is, if getting new batteries is all I need, that's a lot cheaper than having to buy new mods!!! Although, I won't lie, I've been eyeballing that Smok Alien Baby (AL85) lol. For now, since I'm poor lol, I'll get the new batteries and hopefully that will fix the problem, and then I can get the AL85 when I have more money! I'm using the Smok Stick V8 (the kit with the Smok Big Baby Beast) and it just runs so hot freshly charged, I'd just rather have a VW mod that I can adjust the temp some, I'm a wimpy vaper lol.

The al85 is a good little mod, just make sure you get extra batteries if it's your main mod. You won't get a day out of it if sub ohming.

Yea, I always get at least 2 batteries for each mod. I have 3 for each now, which is why I had just bought 6 of those other batteries.
Just for the record efest, imren etc... have done me fine in the past but I vape at low watts. The best batteries for you would be Samsung 30q or LG hg2.
I got a day out of mine at 30-40 watts with my nebox so guessing you'll get a good few hours too :)

It's not bad actually. I only got it with the tank bc it was only a little more, worth it to get both. I have one juice that doesn't do great with the heat, but as long as I take it slow, it's fine, the other juice tastes great on it. It's definitely easy! As long as I don't favor one over the other, they'll last me all day (both) and I just charge them up at night. I've gotten a day an a half, but it's easier just to charge it every night so I don't end up with a dead battery and no way to charge it lol.

Be careful charging overnight cos if it's not one that shuts off when discharged you could over charge & overtime the mod won't last as long...

It shuts off when it's done charging, but I should really say, I've only charged it OVER night a couple of times. I've been such a night owl lately, staying up to 2AM, that I usually just charge them up before I go to sleep and then turn them off for the night. Only time I've charged them without watching was a couple of times when they died before I went to sleep, which was only at first bc I didn't know wth I was doing with those dang things lol.

Isn't the 30q 15-20a and hg2 18a? Since you're using single cell mods that go up to 80watts I'd go Sony vtc5a's (25a) they might be a bit better for your needs. Those are all I use anymore bc I know they have a high enough CDR to handle single cell vaping and a decent enough mAh rating for the married ones I use.

That way I don't have to think about it, I just always buy the same batteries. Also, temp control might help with your issues, it's helped my gf a LOT. Coils can easily get very hot in wattage mode (>500F), some people are more sensitive to that than others. If you're feeling adventurous, you can put ArcticFox firmware on your evic, making it one of the best TC mods out there.
