This is my first mod Box (self-feeding, no dripping) 18650/2200mah battery & LR510 atty. Prior to getting this fabulous mod box, I dripped using an eGo with LR510 (bridge removed) and my everyday vape that I absolutely love (70pg/30vg). Note, juice supplier does not custom pg/vg only 70/30.

On the very first vape using the Mod, I can sometimes taste the flavor but after that, no flavor at all. I "steep" all of my juices prior to vaping. Have you experienced the same loss of flavor when you stepped up to Mod from a regular ecig? Is this caused by high power burning off the flavor or is it the pg/vg ratio combined with higher power causing the flavor loss. I love my self-feeding mod box but really miss the flavor. It's not as enjoyable vaping with no flavor. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and Happy Vaping

are you using a phidias by any chance? I just got one also, and have experimented with a few different attys on it. Believe it or not so far I'm liking a standard 510 more than anything. Better flavor (IMO,YMMV) still getting plenty of vapor but they don't run as hot. When chain vaping with a LR atty on my Phidias, the atty got so hot all i got was burnt flavor.

Thanks for info.....No Phidias.... Reo Grand and I love it. Chatting with ejuice supplier on getting more flavor added due to the power. I tried switching out the LR atty to regular.... nothing. Just read vapers taste buds change daily when vaping.... just what I don't need. Thought my taste buds were back to normal.... guess buds are finicky when vaping. Oh well, it's still better than limited taste/smell with analogs..... healthier too.

i have had an experience, and read here about others who have also.....there seems to be times where your taste buds, for lack of a better word, go numb. I had about a 4 or 5 day period a couple weeks ago where all my juices tasted watery, but had little other flavor. Turns out the juice was fine, it was my taste buds that were the problem. Apparently a lot of people hit this "flavor wall" from time to time. So it could just be that.

I'm also finding with my Phidias that some of my juice loses a bit of flavor while some others really seem to pop. I'm not sure if there is any rhyme or reason to it.

Ya know, I used to would have argued this. Flavor is so fragile when vaping. I was a hardcore 510 guy until I tried some Cisco 306 attys. I wouldn't have believed that switching from 510 to 306 would make such a difference in the taste of my juice. I'm here to tell you.... it does. Seems crazy but changing devices and/or other hardware can really change the way your juice vapes.

That's worth looking into Stars..... are you vaping with a high powered self-feeding mod box? There are so many variables with vaping it drives me and my pocket $$'s nuts. Thanks for the 411. Just ordered more of my fav juice that I want to be my everyday (don't like switching juices) asked suppler for extra flavor hoping this will work with my high powered box.

I had the same issue with dripping and cartomizers; this is what I do to avoid the issue.

Change juice flavors about every 3 days. This will help with the taste buds.

And change up your atty now and then I use LR510 2.0 or 1.5 but will switch to a LR306 for a change.

I think if you change these things every now and then it helps to keep the taste buds from getting use to a certain flavors.

Just my 2c

I read that too...... but when I switch back to ecig from box, flavor is there again so this has something to do with higher powered box vs eGo..... the quest continues. I'm already spoiled rotten on the Reo Grand vs eGo due to my laziness in dripping. I have to keep telling myself "I can have it all" lol thanks again

Thanks much.... are you having the same problem with the Reo Grand with loosing flavor yet? It was immediate loss of flavor after first vape upon receiving my Grand. I scraped my tongue, changed from 510 regular to LR 510..... changed flavor, same no flavor vaping the Grand except on initial vape. Since this is my first self-feeding mod box, could I be holding the manual button down too long when using the Grand? I hold it down like I did with the eGo (no more than 5 seconds while inhaling). I tried releasing the button a lot sooner on the Grand but then not only do I not have flavor, the vapor is very low......

I still have a Tube mod on the desk that I do drip with, but I use a high nic in it. Its my morning jump start. :)

But I use my REO's most of the day or when on the road.

Yes you can have it all :)

Thanks MXBNW for the inspiration on I CAN have it all..... so, once I get the flavor thingy worked out with my Reo Grand, all I will need to "have it all" is a semi-wealthy man that loves me and I love him.... and.... he's a vaper....lol

I'm using an Icon. Just got into 306 LR's. Also just got an order of Backwoods Brew. All I knew of it was with 306, and it rocked, it rocked hard. Then I tried it on my trusty 510 LR. Crazy but true, it all tasted different from with the 306. The flavor wasn't there. Not nearly as much. I have always used and loved 510, but man, there is definitely differences in taste between 306 and 510. At least with the 3 juices from Backwoods.

I'd say give the Cisco LR306 a try at least. My Reddy Reo Grande loves it. If you get the $20 deal from VaporFlow, you get 2 atties & a drip tip...get the clear or transparent colored ones. It's the perfect match for your Grande. You can see how much juice is getting sucked up in the atty and regulate your feed better.

+1. I think I am hooked on Cisco 306 now. Have tried 3 other brands of 306, and they don't even come close. Well, some close clooose, but no cigar.

Thanks much StarsAndBars.... Placed my order for the 306LR's....hope I get the same result with flavor like you with the switch. Should have them after Turkey Day..... Again, thank you because you are the first to have tried both attys on the Grand along with BWB juice..... Happy Turkey Day
