Hi all,

Moved over to e-cigs about a month ago. Started with the OK Cig lookalikes which are good but fairly expensive with the cartridges.

Got myself a curve (which won't charge now). This was ok but wasn't satisfying as there is no resistance when you pull air through it.

Can you get mods with a drag resistance? Preferably more than 20 watts but adjustable.
Something with a resistance of the old tar sticks or more.

Thanks

That's not on the mod, but rather the atty. What you want is something with tighter airflow for mouth to lung vaping.

Look at these tanks:
Aspire Nautilus or Nautilus Mini with BVC coils
Eleaf Air
Kanger Subtank with 1.2 ohm coils

For a mod:
Innokin Coolfire IV
Eleaf istick 30 or 40W

Triton Mini, Nautilus Mini. But you don't want to run a high drag (low air flow) tank at 20w. Try 8 to 14W. I vape at 9 or so.

Have it on 13. Seems good, good vape from it.
Menthol eliquid is gooood to.

They chucked in a temp control thingy too in the shop. Gunna try it out, not used before.
If they gave you a Temp Control Coil you need a device with Temp control, I don't know what will happen if you use a TC Coil on a device that does not have TC, It could burn the coil up and leave you with a mouth full of nasty.

I have to Nautilus Mini and love the adjustable air flow. Pretty much found the sweet spot but do adjust at times to suit my mood. Good Luck and hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

Just to lob this in the pot (not that I am saying there is anything wrong with the Nautilus mini at all), I have owned a Nautilus mini for about a year and it's well and truly in my 'will never use again' section. For ME and how I vape, this is obsolete and has been replaced by a world of more viable options. However, with me saying that, it was a necessary stepping stone in order to find what I like. As was all those comparatively terrible cigalikes back in the day.

If the Nautilus Mini is in your "never use again" section why is that? Please elaborate on why you dislike it so much now. Is it just you have grown past it with what you want out of vaping or did you have problems with it?

Hi Steve,

It's certainly not in there due to problems. I found it a very easy to use little tank.

I have simply, as you said, grown past it. For how I want to vape, it just doesn't deliver. But I must stress, this is on how I want to vape and I appreciate others may see different. The way I see it, if a friend of mine approached me and asked me what I'd recommend to them to quit smoking, it would not be a nautilus. A year ago maybe, but with the options available nowadays, I wouldn't.
