Modding for the Newbie... the puck!

i have heard or read somewhere but not exactly sure... is it a must to use lead free solder wire when soldering a wire to the positive/center part of the battery connector of the atty? they say for health reason.... or does a lead soldering wire would suffice?

Lead free solder would be recommended for any mod, it's as easy to use, so why take a chance with something you're going to inhale.

Thinking of building one of these for myself. I have a score of AA NiMH batteries for my digital camera, might as well!

How hard do you think it would be to have the the 901 (coaxial) connector stick out of the box so that I can swap in, e.g., a 901 to 808 adaptor for cartomizers, clearomizers, and the like?

Hi Aloysius, I used a 510 connector mounted flush with the outside of the box, so I don't see why you wouldnt be able to have the 901 adapter stick out a bit, try it and see. worse comes to worse, you will mung up the box and have to spend 1.99 on a new one. I found it very easy to adapt the idea of the puck to what suited me best. This is why I like this mod so much.
