The .4Ω coil is supposed to be Kanthal. That should run in regular wattage mode. If I understand you, you have to push the fire button down and wait 3 secs before it makes vapor? If so, try raising the wattage some. Go up is small steps.
Sounds like it is not hot yet for the first two tries. That's a pretty common problem for the complex and massive coil builds the cloud chasers use, but not too common in the prefab coil regime that I am aware. Rather than raising the wattage, try pushing the fire button, counting to 3, then inhaling. If that works, what's wrong is the wire's not hot yet. Then raising the wattage should help.well, I "hit" it the first time and nothing .. then again and nothing and finally the third time (back to back) I get a nice cloud.

There doesn't have to be a reason, Lyssie. If that's what gets you off the sticks, then that's what you need to do. Crank the wattage up and blow cloud. And learn how to DIY so you don't drive yourself into bankruptcy zooming through all that juicei will say ... i do like a big cloud ... not sure why but it helps the transition from smoking!![]()
Some of the newest coils need even more power than I can imagine.
I have a Nickel coil in a tank at the moment which seems dead at anything less than 45-50 watts. (550 f)
(Having said I was quitting TC).... whoops.![]()
Also, does Kanger even make the Stainless Steel SSOCC available for purchase?
In Kanger's homepage, there are the SSOCC Stainless Steel for Subtank/Toptank/Nebox as well as the Nickel SSOCC for TC
