Friends I've recently been using quite a lot dual coil setups in my iatties after my good friends manos3906 and Bish got me hooked. I thought of a way to mod the iatty slightly to make the setup of dual, triple or even extreme quad coils simpler and I want to share it with you.
I used a dremel with a cutting wheel to mod the upper plastic with two more vertical slots for the wick and also opened two addition slots in the ceramic at 90 degrees to the existing one's for the second wick and coil.

The overall resistance of the dual coil came out to 0.52 ohms !!!

Hey Urq, buddy I didn't film this but it's easy. Just make two more slots in your ceramic. If your ceramic lets assume is a clock face you already have slots at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock. Open two more at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock. The trick is not to make the new slots as deep as the existing one's so the two coils don't touch when inserted in the ceramic.

Again if you look at your upper plastic where the ceramic sits it has slots at 12 and 6 o'clock. Open two more at 3 and 9 o'clock. I did this again with the dremel and a cutting wheel.

I would say that the hardest thing here is cutting the slots in the ceramic. This stuff is real hard to cut and you really have to take your time with the cutting wheel. Just use a steel cutting wheel on the Dremel and take your time.
