Any of you fellow vapers have any recent experinces with going through airport security with your PV? I dont really expect to have any issues, but I thought I'd just through a post out and see what kinda feedback I get.

I will most likely be caring my protank on my vamo in 18350 mode. Any thoughts or experiences are deeply appreciated. Thank you.

I just flew from the US to Canada and back last month. Of the 4 trips through security with an MKB-TS, batteries, carto tanks and a Drunker tank in my backpack I was only questioned once (going into Canada). Once I told her what it was (the MKB-TS) she had me open it up to look inside the tube, then asked me where she could buy something like it because she wanted to quit smoking.

I just flew from Thailand to the US with my provari, kanger protank, 2 10ml bottles of liquid, and a bunch of other vaping supplies in my carry on. At each security point they searched my bag and took out the provari. I explained what it was and removed the battery to show them. No problems, they smiled and let me on my way.

As far as I can tell all of these devices are perfectly legal so no reason to hide them as there would be no precedent to confiscate them.

Yeah I flew last month and took White Cloud Fling disposables - on sale $3 each. They last anywhere from
22-26 hours with heavy hitting. Anyway I wanted to do that instead of taking something that costs more and
I could lose/drop/etc. No issues at all at the airport - checked some, carried on some in my purse (put them on top
of purse in the tray in their original packaging). One agent asked me if they were e-cigs and that was it.

I fly several times per year. I usually take an ego with a carto on top. If you take tanks, make sure they are empty, they will leak during the flight.

I usually carry on my Provari as well. Sometimes they ask, usually not though. Never had a problem. I did have one guy when I went through Denver ask me, "What, pray tell, is this thing" LOL I told him and he said "cool"

Great advice about emptying the tanks and something I, and my shirt pocket, learned the hard way.

I had some fun times a couple years ago with TSA an The Copper mod, but that was before e-cig tv comercials and well the mod is a copper pipe so it's more suspicious looking than today's shinies. I still always made it through, but was delayed pretty signigicantly in Burbank, CA because they escalated my search to higher authority.

The last time I was inspected in Oakland, and one TSA started raising question, but a collegue said, "yo, that's an e-cig... I have one, but it ain't as bad as that!"... refering to a chi chi of all things.

Yeah, if ever there was a mod that looked like a pipe bomb, the Copper would be it.
In fact, a pipe bomb is about the only thing it looks like.

I fly all the time with my Provari / carto tank setup. This is the easiest way to go without hassle.

Take off the tank and put it in a plastic bag, like you would have to do with any fluids anyway. Take your mod and put it and your tank and any other fluids you are traveling with, including your juices, in the bin that you put your shoes in for X-ray. Make sure nothing is overlapping and put it in the scanner.

TSA is pretty well versed on PVs, since they have to know about basically anything that carries a battery.

If by chance you get a secondary screening, just tell the TSA it's an electronic cigarette with a larger battery and they will probably swipe it with a bomb strip, then let you go.

I wouldn't bother with an NJoy. I have vaped openly and stealth in at least a dozen airports and stealthily vaping on a plane is also very doable, although I wouldn't want to get caught doing that as most airlines disallow vaping.

Travel safely.

This thought also crossed my mind....just wanted have a satisfying vape once I'm able to ya know? But losing out on a $10 device is much better than a $60 device

So after posting this I ran to Walgreen's to buy an njoy out of curiosity. At $8 they're not really worth it. Maybe the white clouds at $3 per unit would be better.

Still, the mini ego with something like T3 would fit the bill. I still wouldn't want to risk my mod or being delayed and missing my connection. Like everyone says, TSA should be fine with vaping in airports but don't underestimate idiots.
