Thanks, I am ok ...better today. Just sore. I am glad mr. Doug is getting in to get his teeth fixed right away. I never realized how much damage they can do to your whole body until recently.
Hope everyone is doing well today. Rainy here today.
I know I owe pics...will take some soon. It's a mood thing...:D

Up in the wee hrs of the morning and having a cup of camomile so hopefully I'll get a few more hrs of snooze time.

Meanwhile, KS, you got me to wondering what it was you were doing with that big knife and how you jammed your thumb.......both injuries on the left hand. :( Hope the doctor was gentle sewing the stitches. :)
Hope you got some sleep chooch..that or you get night duty on the mtn. I quit, and have been sleeping longer!
I was cutting chicken with a big knife and slipped. I put butterfly bandages to hold it together. The thumb thing is worse, especially with rain and arthritis.
I was bringing in a big 500+ Lb cage to move Pico into so I can dismantle his. It had to go up a step, and it slipped and fell backwards throwing my thumb out of joint.
Pico is doing well in his temporary cage. I moved him into the bird room with Holly and Yuna for many reasons. One so he is not alone. Two, he is way too messy to be on anything but tile. And overall it's just safer. Even for the dogs. The bird room has a locked screen door on it. Pico throws fruit, and grapes are toxic to dogs.

KS! Yesterday would have been better if you had stayed in bed and ordered take-out! :(

Use to buy whole chickens. Would send dau. out, hubby out and myself separately to buy the limit on sale. 39 cents a pound. Of course, it meant cutting them up before cooking. Same as you, KS, slipped one night and sliced a knuckle pretty good. Took a slice of bone too! ........Pressed it all back together and wrapped with bandaid......washed the chicken. Eventually grew all back together.......My one and only "bone graft"! Ha!

LOL chooch..you have such a silver tongue!:lol::lol::lol:
I found out it's a bit of a drive, but I can get 40# boxes at .39 cents a lb=$15.00 a box. And it's $4. extra to have them cut it all up for me. That's what I am going to do. It's supposed to be a great meat market where they hand cut. So I should be able to get a few deals.

Hi Mountaineers!
Kayte, I am so sorry to read that Doug is in pain and having issues with his teeth.:(
I cannot type well. I tried to cut my left index finger off with a big knife today. And then to add insult to injury, I just jammed my left thumb nearly out of it's socket.
So I am making this short. Love and hugs to all.
Oh, KS that sounds miserable! So sorry...and be careful of it while it's healing!

Glad Doug's tooth isn't killing him today, hope the dentist visit was worthwhile.

Had a great weekend. My Marine was home with his two boys. We spent the morning at the beach today and it was lovely. Then my daughter caught a 35" striped bass. She ran it over to my dad's house since he lives by the beach and that sucker fed three families tonight. We planked it between pineapple skins and broiled it. Was very nice :p Gonna play Phase 10 tonight so won't be around but I hope you all have a pleasant evening. ;)

MommaB, I feel your pain. Our air went out at work last Monday and the unit was finally replaced today. I did leave a couple of times when it got up to around 90 Inside but was there some every day and it was miserable. I can't tolerate heat anyway so once I get that hot, it takes me hours to cool down.

KS - step awaaaay from the knife! Ouch. That has to hurt. You need to heal quick so you can play that guitar!

Chooch - I gave up painting a few years ago. I used to enjoy it but I wasn't very good at it, too much of a perfectionist. After we painted the outside of the house I made sure to proclaim I will never ever paint this house again.

PBX - she doesn't look big enough to pull that fish in. That's not easy to do. Any kind of dinner sounds good. Mike has a client out in his office and so the dogs and I are just waiting for him. I'm hungry.

Hope Doug got a good report and some help at the dentist today.

She's tougher than she looks Ms. C - and exceedingly determined! She caught a bigger one on a little fresh water trout pole! Took her 45 minutes to wear the poor thing out, but she managed to get it to shore. The thing was almost as long as she was.

Ms.C, at our age, we figure this is the last chance we'll have to paint the house which was painted in 1998....17 yrs. ago. Need to re-roof too, but not a chance of us doing it at any age! :)

In that case, pbx, you'll never lack for dinner! Ha!

Momma, you have to close shop! :( Customers won't stay in a store that's 87 degrees anyway.

They don't stay in here long chooch...I work in the pro shop at a local Municipal golf course. They pay for their golf and "stuff" and head out the door to the course. LOL And since we are owned by local small g'vment, no tellin how long it will be til the AC is fixed:yawn:

Hi, Dale. :) Hi, Momma. :) It came. It dumped. It left in 1/2 hr. Still overcast, but sun is trying to peek thru in spots. Think the storm mostly missed us and just gave freshly mowed lawn a good watering. By this afternoon.....Who knows? Hubby might be working on the dormers next. :)
