Mom & Pops Sci Fi/Fantasy inspired flavor ideas! (and discussion of favorite television series)

Thought I'd move the discussion to it's own thread and offer up my two ideas from Firefly, Mudder's Milk and Fruity Oatey Bars. Fruity Oatey Bars could be oatmeal or cookie base with any fruit... black raspberry, strawberry, peach? I have no clue what Mudder's Milk would be. Vanilla coke? Vanilla coke with rum?

What are your thoughts?

Well, you know, had to tie it into M&P's shop somehow.

I was amazed that at dragcon there were very few people vaping. It is a very heavy tech crowd that still has allot of smokers.

I think it'll catch on with the tech geeks soon. It seems to be spreading like wildfire since I started.

Here's a recipe for Mudder's Milk that someone came up with:

1 litre (1 quart) soy milk, plain
360ml (12 oz) stout such as Guinness, or other dark, full bodied beer
64g (1/2 cup) wheat germ
112g (1/2 cup) brewers yeast
180ml (6 oz) grain alcohol
or vodka to taste​

Not sure how that would translate to available flavors for vaping ... and I'm not sure I'd vape it ... but maybe it's a start?

Well, as I recall from the episode in question, "sweet" wasn't really part of the equation.

If you Google recipes for Mudder's Milk I think you'll find a non-alcoholic version that might be more palatable. Still, it's going to need some kick if you really want to go for authenticity and you want it to hit shiny.

My thoughts on the Fruity Oaty Bar were almost identical to yours except I was thinking more a "fruit medley" than a single flavour. I was thinking a balance of oatmeal cookie and fruit punch.

Mudder's Milk I have been thinking perhaps an oatmeal base with a bit of milk or cream and a Guinness finish.

Based on the advertising and packaging, I don't think there'd actually be any oat flavour in the Fruity Oatey Bars, and based on the conversations I don't think the Mudder's Milk would actually taste anything like that. But we are going for "inspired by" rather than "screen accurate," right?
