*snorts*

too funny!

My girls have been at their mothers house for the last two weeks for their summer visit (story for another time perhaps) anyway, did not tell them about PV's before they left or that I was thinking about trying them out. All three of my girls HATE me smoking, hate the smell, the danger, everything. My husband doesn't smoke and my youngest is still young enough to draw pictures pleading for me to stop with black lungs and all...it breaks my heart when she get's emotional about it, but I understand.

They'll be home tomorrow evening and I can't wait to show them. I've smoked their entire lives and when they see the vapor in the house I imagine they'll all just flip out! I'm not totally off the analogs but I can go a good 6-8 hours without one already! *yea-me!*

My oldest son is 8 and he came home from school this year asking me, "Mom why do you do drug?" I looked at him like he had lost his mind and asked him WHAT I don't do drugs. He said its say no to drugs week and we learned that smoking is a DRUG and you are gonna DIE!!!! I told him yes smoking cigarettes was bad for your health and went on to explain the difference between illegal drugs and legal ones. Wanted to tell him to ask his teacher if she drank coca cola's or coffee and then ask her why she did drugs. I'm all for explaining illegal drugs to kids in school and explaining the legal ones also but they need more tact about it all. Equating smokers with ...... junkies is a bit much.

I told my kids the bottles were poison and of course my 5 year old says Mom why are you using poison!!! LOL I told her I wasnt drinking it but using it in my electric cigarette and she was to young to have an electric cigarette so NEVER touch it. They all know what poison is and realize that it can make them very very ill if they ever touch the bottles (I keep it all put up anyway)

All of them are glad I don't smoke anymore. Beyond the first week they don't even pay attention to it anymore.

When DS was about K or 1st grade they had a DARE assembly after which all the kids signed something saying they wouldn't do drugs. For 2 mths straight DS told everybody how we all did drugs, even his baby sister and teacher, because we hadn't been there to sign. Then they had a group of highschoolers come do some little skit because apparently lots of parents were having issues and were ticked. The highschoolers concentrated on legal vs illegal drugs. DS came home bawling because he takes medicine and now he too did drugs. It was a mess.
