Well eh I see how that would work but thats not really what I'm looking for. Because they would have to be the same flavor and I would be buying way too much juice only to find that I might not like it...

You've discovered one of the many reasons for DIY: need for odd nic level. And it's far cheaper to buy flavors to try out, than ejuice.

Now you have me intrigued - but there's probably tons of startup costs. Onward To the Google!

Not really "tons"... there's a little investment -- syringes, bottles, nicotine, PG/VG, and of course the flavors. None of that is terribly expensive, not compared to finished ejuice, it's just a bit of investment up front, compared to ongoing gouging -- sorta like investing in vape gear instead of getting gouged per pack of smokes. :D

Lol well because sparkly things always make me happy and I love going into every vape shop I see and picking up whatever I like (even if it puts a little too much strain on the credit card, I'm bad) I think I spent more on vape gear than I ever did on smoking. I only maybe smoked a pack every two weeks if that since I was 16, which wasn't much since I would only smoke when I was extremely depressed or stressed out. I posted a thread in the DIY forum because I found what seemed to be a pretty cool start up kit but I want some opinions on it. :)

Hi! So ive been looking at signing up for a monthly box of juice subscription and here's my issue- the ones im finding go from 12, 6, 3 and 0 nicotine, but I vape 2 and 3 is too high 0 is too little. any good services out there that have nic customization where i can get 2mg?
Just get some VG, add 1/3 VG to it, you will lose some flavor but it shouldn't be too bad and you'll end up with a bit of extra juice :)

Not too bad if you start out small, first time I tried I only got 30ml of 100mg 500ml VG and a couple flavors, it was still cheaper than what I'd spend on juice in 1 month...

I havent been DIY for too long but I havent had to spend a cent on it in about 3 months which really made up for the costs..

That's actually a really good tip. :) I might consider doing that.
I did that for a month that I didn't have much money for juice, I vape 6mg, so I bought 12mg, poured half of it in a old juice bottle then filled them both up with VG, Lost a lot of flavor at first but if you give it a couple days to steep a lot of it comes back :)

and that's exactly how I got into DIY, it was so easy once experienced even that little of it I got right into it after that :)

Definitely a less costly way to start -- I was buying 6mg *and* 12mg and mixing them to get 8, 9 or 10mg, and that got EXPENSIVE fast. I was also mixing some flavors of ejuice -- banana nut bread mixed with blueberry muffin is really good -- so I thought, well REAL DIY can't be that much harder.

The only thing I've found hard, in DIY, is trying to emulate some juice you've bought; it never seems to really work. Best success I've had was with starting from scratch with a flavor I never bought as ejuice, strawberry & cream. Since I had nothing with which to compare my own efforts, I was pleasantly shocked to make something really tasty!

Unfortunately those subscription services only deal with commercial juice, which goes from 0,3,6,12,18 (and sometimes),24 mg/ml. I have seen a couple of ultra-premium juices now being offered in 1.5mg/ml

You could always sign-up for the 0mg service, then buy unflavored nicotine base and add it until you get your desired strength?

I'm making the personal decision to cut my nic down to 0mg across the board by January 1st. I got my past 3 boxes at 0mg and have been happily vaping those occasionally, but I do add some nicotine to them to make them 1.5mg/ml at the cost of a bit of flavor loss.

That's even better, I like the way you're thinking. I could just get some gloves, measuring equipment, and some pre-diluted nic suspended in PG because I'm not one for straight up VG. As long as I do the math correctly it seems very easy.

Congrats on moving away from the nic though - I don't think I'll ever really move away from it, lol. I like the headrush too much when I'm feeling stressed (it's euphoric, and yes, I stop vaping right when I get to that point) and I do rather enjoy coming to the local hookah lounge about twice a month.
