I'm about to get some new batteries for my vaporflask clone and I have a difficult time deciding between the 3500 mAh Sanyo and the 3000 mAh Samsung/LG. Would be grateful for some help. The flask is a dual battery mod and I drive it at around 30w. The cut off is at 3.5v so I'd never draw more than 5 amps per battery. Your tests seem to indicate that the Samsung and LG have a higher capacity (down to 3.5v) even at that rather low amp draw, but could you confirm?

    Sorry @KenD!
Seems that ECF doesn't alert me if my name is only in the title.

You might, maybe, get a bit more capacity from the Sanyo/Panasonic cells at that low a power level. But the voltage under load with a HG2 would be higher and that would result in less current being drawn from the cells.

Too close to call IMO. I would go with the HG2 just in case you ever decided to try a higher wattage setting.
