You could always just buy the exact style LED you want. They're a buck or less (.49 to .89 actually) under the LEDS and Indicators heading. My mk.0.0 eyeball calls it a 3mm in the kit.
I did buy the fast change. My bro put a slow change in his. I <3 the fast change, and he envies mine 
For me a buck can be a deal breaker, and if i'm making them for loaner boxes, then a few bucks can mean the difference of getting a juice to share or not.
