Personally, I can't understand why someone would criticize a shop for how they choose to run their business and what products they carry. They are the ones who have to sell whatever to pay the bills and keep their light on.

They do have the right to run their business however they want, and sell whatever product they want. However as a consumer I also have the right to have my opinion on what the experience was like for me. And share that opinion with my friends. And it isn't just that vape shop in particular. I am just sad to see the trend in all of my local shops starting to move away from beginning to normal vaping and into the more hobbyist type of stuff. For me vaping has always been a way to stop smoking and the shops used to be very in tune to that. Unfortunately that seems to be changing.

Lets imagine you liked craft beer. You looked up places that cater to that market and found one named "craft beer super center". You read the add and it said they had a large selection of craft beer with friendly and knowledgeable staff. You drive an hour to get there and find out all they really carry is stuff you can get at your local grocery store. Like Bud, Miller, Coors and the likes. And on top of that the staff didn't seem to care if you were there or not. Wouldn't you feel a little disappointed and want to share that with others that had the same tastes as you might have?

It isn't like I went in there and threw a fit. I didn't tell them how to run their business or demand they change their name lol. I simply asked the same questions and tried to have the same discussions I have had in any other vape shop. They didn't seem to want to have any part of it. That is fine, it is their choice. It is also my choice to have an opinion on it and choose whether or not I want to do business with them.

Wow, someone edited out the B word in my original post lol. Guess that is why they call them "water pipes" lmao.

I wasn't mean about it when I said it. I just said "Wow, a whole wall of "water pipes" (except I called them by what I know them as from growing up in the 80's) and then chuckled. I didn't lecture them or anything about it. Like I said, it doesn't offend me in the slightest. It just isn't what I expect to see in a vape shop around here. Some tobacco stores yes, but not something I thought was a dedicated vape shop. It isn't anything I haven't said in any other stores. I usually joke around about them.

No different than walking into an adult book store or something and saying "Wow, that is a lot of d*&%*o's".

From the way they responded it sounds like others must have said something though.

Okay so it's not worth arguing about vape shops. Around here, we have 3 types, straight vaping, tobacco shops (I see this as a growing market) and our local laundromats as I enjoy calling them. They're all okay for some stuff, just beware the water pipe vendors their employees tend to be a little scattered at times, from using all those water pipes. I once strolled in to such an emporium and yes, they did have my nautilus coils all unboxed in a tray. Not wanting to be rude, I bought 5, well, paid for five, and the guy could only count to four I guess....

I don't even rule that laundromat out for future purchases, it may become a place I can acquire other (possibly to be renamed) things, and I'm glad they're around, they help the economy.

To each their own, but I enjoy variety, because it's the Spice of Life! I also enjoy popcorn but I am SO not hungry right now, if you catch my drift.... :)

Your original post was edited because that kind of talk is not permitted on ECF even if you're not directly speaking about it any term that google can link here is a bad thing. On another note i do agree with you after all it's still freedom of speech you have a right to express your opinion unless you speak of "water pipes" or anything related lolz. Imo the staff there didn't seem very professional or helpfull, then again i'm the kind of guy that tries every single vape shop to better inform people about where to go.

I don't care that someone edited my post. I just thought it was funny that particular word got singled out lol. I have read the rules, I know why they did it so its all good. Most other forums would have just deleted the entire thing rather than taking the time to edit it.

I don't feel bad about not going to that shop again either. There are at least 4 more shops on the same road within about 5 miles of each other.

Um, I have actually done that before... Well, it was kinda a guided tour by an ex-stripper through a stripper supply store, I wanted to get the husband a stripper for his 40th birthday but I wasn't going to bring one in the house. The owner was super helpful, but I wasn't quite prepared for her saying, "Get in there and change! I haven't seen that on yet," but she was super helpful and taught me how to walk in those crazy shoes :lol:.

I would have returned if I needed anything....:lol:. It was a lot of fun, actually.

With the switch to DTL vaping in the last few years the prices on MTL hardware have been on sale continuously. I'm buying great hardware that's fairly new on the market at $20 something sales prices and loving it!

Lets hope that the manufacturers don't decide that there's no money in MTL and slow production.
