More questions than 'usual'?

OK - I've just shortened the search to 2 letters - it should make a difference. That said, the google search bar may be better anyway - it just won't be as up to date.

Wow - that is excellent. This will literally 'save' the search function in these forums.

OMG...never even knew there was a search function on the bottom! Glad I read this thread...just hope I can remember it's there

Did you already go back to the standard search's 3 character minimum? When I tried it a few hours ago, it was returning results for 3 word queries, and now it isn't anymore. Did you revert for some reason?

EDIT: Actually, 3 character searches still appear to work, but only if I use more than 1 word in the search. For example, searching for just '901' yields no results. Searching for '901 atty' returns results containing both the '901' and 'atty' keywords.

I'm just thinking that being able to search by model numbers would really help new users. Like, if I wanted to research the VP2 from Vaprlife, I'd want to be able to just put 'VP2' in the search query. Is this restriction in place to minimize the server load?
