The last time I saw my PV was last night while on the way to a lady's house to get something she was Freecycling. I swore I put it in its case in my purse. I checked my purse later and it wasn't there. It wasn't in the case and it wans't in my purse. I checked the car. Nope. I e-mailed the lady with a picture of my PV. She looked for it and didn't find it.

Panic set in. Then depression. I had a spare atty and another battery, but that wasn't the point. I missed my little PV friend. It's amazing how we form emotional attatchments to things.

Today I was going back to the lady's house to double check the driveway and the yard and see if it rolled into the street. I was hoping that I could find it and that it was still functional.

One battery wasn't getting me very far. So on the way there I stopped at Sheetz for a Cappuccino and a pack of analogs. When I opened my wallet to pay for the stuff - guess what I found!?? My PV!! All bright and shiny and happy to see me.

Turns out I had put it in my wallet instead of its case.

Years ago I got to work one winter morning and discovered that I didn't have my purse. After frantically searching though the car, I decided to take the day off and head back home to look for it.

I spent hours searching everywhere and finally decided I must have left it on top of the car as I drove off to work that morning. I reconciled myself to the fact that it was lost and my only chance at recovery was if some kind soul found it and called me.

I decided to try to enjoy the rest of my day off. When I opened the fridge to get myself a soda the elusive purse was sitting right there on the shelf where I had placed it that morning.

I got this little compartment in my purse that I stow my PV's in. This was way back when I was using the factory auto batteries and charging like crazy. It was early in the morning and all I had was one charged battery and had to run to a town about 7 miles away, get something and then head back home.
I thought, no problem.
Got in the car, got out on the open road, and reached into my purse (done this a couple zillion times before) so wasn't expecting a problem.
Couldn't find the darn thing by feel---and I touched search the whole compartment.8-o
I was in a bit of a panic. I got to the store and did a quick scan of all places I thought it might be. But no, I didn't find it. Still in a panic (could have used a good vape right then).
Got home and had to empty the whole purse out before I found it.
A big sigh of relief because I was beginning to wonder if I'd lost it.

I have a habit of putting my pvs in the corner that forms between the bottom part of my laptop and the screen. Unfortunately I often forget about this and when I'm computing in the dark, the screen doesn't illuminate into that little crevice. Five minutes of scrambling around the couch before conceding and going to flip on a light later and the embarassment sets in...

OH MY GOD!

I thought I was the only person that has done that!

Yeah. I also set my 510 between the bottom edge of the keyboard and the desk, where my Audio ports are on the front of the laptop. Physically on the desk, right in front of my laptop, and seeing as my laptop's body is black, my black 510 blends in with it, especially with the lights out.

If it's not between the screen and keyboard, it's on my desk in front of my laptop, and if it's not there, it's in front of the screen. I'd be really screwed if I couldn't find it in EITHER of those spots at any one time.

I have done the exact thing a few times, driven 20 minutes back to a mall parking lot, even looked on the road all the way home because I was on my motorcycle when I lost it! Never found it, I was devistated! Now, I have a really bad habit of loosing my small tweezers, funny, same reaction...LOL I have a stock of battys and attys but still panic when I can't find it. Have you ever left work for lunch and forgot you r PV? Did it once and you'd have thought I was going to die! I call my PV my Binky (pacafier), never leaves my immediate posession!
