Morning All

Morning all, well it is here anyway.

Just thought i'd get my 1st post in and counted for, may as well be honest about it!

I am a UK Vaper, and have been for over a year now, started in may 2009. However never took it seriously till the last few months, Now off the analogs completely.

I started, and still, vape with my trusty DSE 901, yet its appearance has gone from black to silver with the new batts and attys, over the time.

I am a bit of a hoarder and look forward to becoming more active in the modding side of e-cigs. Currently my portfolio is lacking in mods with just
a) The simple, Tom Tom carry case with cut foam to store 4 spare batteries (yes the DSE 901 needs that many to get me through a day) 2 bottle of 10ml e-liquid, 2 spare attys, 2 drip tips, and the current vaping e-cig.
b) A crude USB Pass-through (battery removed) mod so that I can vape in front of the tv/laptop without draining my precious batteries. Does not give me the 5v experience as everyone mentions unless I am in the car but stacks up well to the 'out and about' battery performance. More importantly, I don’t have to worry so much about the life expectancy of my attys while using it.

Well thats enough rambling, for the first post at least!

Have fun.

Being honest, money, even though vaping will cost me more in the short term.

That and I recently proposed to my, now, fiancee. If I want a future, I stand a better chance with PG, than I do with tar, well untill they prove otherwise.

What finally sparked my enthusiasm, was how 'accepted' it has been this second time round. When I first vaped last year, I continued to be looked down to for 'still smoking'. However this time round, I am yet to meet a negative person about vaping. I have had the looks and have been questioned about it, but it has now become a nice 'ice-breaker'.

I still do not vape in restaurants, have not tried, but I never smoked, even if I could, before it was banned. I have met many an interesting person from a discussion about my desire to quit and they seem to understand, maybe better informed, about it.

Shouldnt, miss the UK too much if I was you, its going downhill every day, but I wont start talking politics on here! :)

I start all vaping in new public areas, such as bars, by asking the person in charge about their view, and explain that it wont smell but may confuse, and basically ask their permission nicely.

Normally their answer is "lets see how many complaints we get." And I always offer to explain how it works/give them to try (if they were a smoker, I carry a 'stranger' cart on me, that I dont use personally.) It may help, in this area, as we had a shop that sold them for about 3-6 months. I have also though been to Pontins (a famous holiday camp) and had no problem in any area vaping. That was a nice feeling, vaping and playing snooker again!

If I get a no, then I just dont vape, no different to when I was a smoker.

Welcome mate

Money was the second reason I decided to look at vaping. After smoking for 26 years, and being that I will be turning 40 in February of next year, I decided I needed to find an alternative before any health issues came knocking at my door.

Still not sure if the whole money thing is ever going to happen. i love spending money on my new hobby :D

I love my new hobby, have a V4L xl manual now actually i have 6 of them. My Dad used to say if one is good 2 is better LOL. Now I am on a quest to find what juices i like, still on the 24mg nicotine but having a really great time looking at all the juices out there and placing orders. this is a lot more fun than smoking ever was

I change between strengths all day. Like now, I am on 8mg as I chain vape at the computer. But out and about, to keep my self off the cigarettes, I mix between 18 and 36 depending on the mood.

I also am looking for the next model of e-cig to buy, but cant quite tempt myself fully away from the one I started on. Hopefully with a little advice from here I wont need to move away from the 901, just mod it!
