Hi All

This is my first post. I bought a cig star starter kit. I don't like the product as its too big and bulky. I'm looking for something that looks a little more realistic. This one is fine for when I'm at home alone but I want something that can pass a bit better.

I've seen some recommendations on the US boards but these models don't seem to be available in the UK. The Gamucci Mini is like 100mm and that's a lot bigger than a conventional cigarette despite what they say. My Cig Star is 100mm approx.

I'd love to see some of these products in person but it all seems to be Internet sales at the moment.

What about the super smoker? Is that one smaller? They don't post a pic comparison between a regular cig and an e-cig on the site.

Most appreciated. Am in London BTW, so if anyone knows of any shops I'd love to know about it.

Hi Trysomethingnew

I'm on my first e ciggy a DSE901 miniciggy, I agree they are a bit long (120 mm) but i suppose thats to fit in all the gubbins. Mine looks realistic though, had someone outside a pub ask me for a light the other night !!

Interested to see others comments on this matter.

As for shops ? as far as I know its net sales only, but could be wrong

bare in mind , the smaller the device the more hassle they are.
It's all logic really , the smaller the battery= the more you gotta charge it and the less time it will run off one charge. the smaller the cart the more you need to top up or replace.

I've got an m401 and and intellicig evolution with genie and atom batteries but I just dont use them because of the above problems.

I'd still recommend the 901 as a good all rounder. Even with all the mods i have I still use the 901 when i'm out and about.

the super-smoker is a dse-103 i believe..I got one as my first e-cig and I tell ya it nearly put me off the whole thing.

people have really gotta realise that vaping is not smoking , so try not to restrict yourself to something that looks the same , because they simply don't cut the mustard.

I can't recommend a realistic looking/sized e-cig because frankly they suck..hey I'm being honest here. The smallest i would go would be the 901 and that's still somewhat longer than your average analogue.

Save your money and your patience and forget about try to mimic the real thing..embrace the new technology and try something different ...

The 901 was my first and I still like it, but if you are talking about battery life...it isn't that good (depending on how often you vape, I guess). The flavour is good and so is the amount of vapour. I always carried a ton of batteries though.
The intellicig evolution is very good, and the one I go back to over and over again, is the black "limited edition" evo (m402). I have had this since the beginning of the year and the batteries run for hours and I am still on the original atomiser from my original evo (bought Nov., 08 - I took the white paint off it. It's a gold colour underneath, so fits in with the black) and it gives very good vapour. I have never had a problem with it and have never cleaned the atomiser. If it fails tomorrow, it has been a bargain! Being black, it doesn't really look like a cigarette, but it is small.
I own the 901, 801, evo(white), evo(black), pilot, and titan (510)

I think the m401's are quite close. look up igetcha69's reviews on youtube,
he's uk based, and I know he does cig size comparisons on his reviews

Thanks for the tip. I have decided on the Mirage. Anyone have any feedback on that one? Igetcha69 seems to give this one high marks and it looks to me quite like a cig. I only smoke 7-8 a day of the regular cigarettes. Its the cigarette itself and the whole act of smoking that I've missed when I've tried to give up. So the look is very important to me. Maybe as I get more used to the whole e-cig concept I'll care less and less.

Well I've ordered the thing anyway, so will let you know what I think.

get an intellicig with the mighty atom battery , 5sec cutoff good hit under 10cm
if you wanted to go one further get the 403 battery reduces the sise to 8,4 cm
can't rate it enough, on a good day it will give a titan a run for its money.
I have had mine for 8month

+1 Been on Evo for about 2 mnths not smoked analouge since very happy with product + Kristal juice very good and cheap at £10 for 40 ml 18mg but need a bit of menthol or other flavour as is unflavoured, Ecopure Rich
is exellent £12 20ml 18mg bit dear but vg and made in uk

I think the 8084 is identical to a superking in length and circumference. Igot an 8097 from scan - slightly longer than an analogue but otherwise very realistic. Downsides are well known and unavoidable viz - relatively short battery life and tiny carts that last about 2-3 cigs worth (laws of physics, the tradeoff). They do get hot and the auto microswitch is too sensitive - more than once I've felt a burning feeling in my pocket as the thing is switched on by movement. They are cheap and you can always carry refills when out and about. Definitely for occasional fillins and not for "chain-vapping"

Another recommendation for the Evo here!

Looks good, great battery life (especially given it's size) and, although I appreciate what people say about the size of the carts, it is quite economical and also wicks to the bottom of the cart, so in my experience, it doesn't need 're-loading' as often as some bigger carts.

Flavours come through beautifully, the parts last really well, and, as Bjorn has stated, the throat hit and vapour aren't too shabby (certainly much better than an analogue)
