I've been through 2 Vamos in three months. I need a reliable VW device. Do I have any options besides Innokin?

What would you do? I have to act quick.

Why "besides Innokin"?

You do realize the Vamo is not made Innokin correct?

Innokin actually makes pretty nice gear and by eliminating them you're cutting out one of the better current deals in the vape world, the MVP 2.0 (as mentioned above).

MVP's can be had at 101vape for about $42 shipped (have it in a week) or on ebay for around that.

Sounds like me, 2mods in 2 months. My choice sigelie zmax v3.. Solid stainless steel including the 510. Been thrown from the second floor with a heavy stainless odessyus rba. Still holding up well and it's been trough hell. Stainless is the only way to go.

A Plated brass 510 will strip at some point if its dropped.

I'm going to have to ask why not Innokin as well. Their clearos may be finicky, but their devices seem to be pretty solid, good, devices. They may have even solved the clearo problems with their b line. I have the 30b and the 16b, and in my opinion, they've blown my Mini Protank II away in terms of taste. No gurgling either so far.

My v2 threads wore out, but I replaced the topcap. I ordered a v5 in the meantime. It is working, I just had a scare this morning. I still want a more reliable device.

I have nothing against Innokin. They seem to be the goto VW device in my price range otherwise I'd be looking at a DNA20 mod or REO. There doesn't seem to be anything in between.

I'm protesting Provari until they release a VW. Then I hope I have the courage or $$$ to
step up.

I've been using the AGR tanks. I think they are smaller then typical custom tanks. They should work.

I'm kind of protesting Provari for the same reason. I've been spoiled by the VW feature on the MVP 2 and the iTaste VV v3. Since I'm still trying to find my ideal topper, I just bought another MVP 2 as back up to the one I have (hubby stole the VV v3) and got a VV v3 because I could and they're $25 so why not? Then I spent the rest of my money on various clearos and carto tanks. I'm really hoping I find what I want in the carto tanks, as I don't have the time to rebuild coils.

There's others in your range, but there's few that give you the bang for your buck.

An MVP2 has a 2600mAh battery. This is larger than a typical 18650 by 400mAh. Add to that the fact that the charger is self contained, so you don't need to carry a charger around, the thing runs while your charging via USB pass through and it can even charge your other electronic devices.

Sure, it's an internal battery so when it wears out you throw the whole thing away, but at the going price of $45.00 how can you go wrong?

I've got two. Each one rotates. So I never have one charging more than once every 4 days, which extends your projected charge cycles into years. And, at $45.00, if one takes a dive into the toilet or some other such nonsense, replacing it won't set you pack more than a carton of smokes.

The vv3's are nice, but at 800 mAh, they won't last as long, and you would need to buy several units to keep in rotation to ensure they last. I still have a vv3 as my emergency unit at work. Since I have a desk computer, I can easily vape it on passthrough if I need to. I have a Mini Protank 1 (another backup) on it filled with juice.

That way, should I ever leave for work and forget to take the MVP 2, I have something at work that will fill the void for a day.

I know you don't want "Innokin" but I love the SVD & iTaste VV V3.0. Just sayin.

I think my verbiage may have implied I have something against Innokin. I have nothing against Innokin. In my mind they are the goto device in my price range, I really just wanted to know my alternates.

Either way, I think it's going to be a VTR, but I did get my Vamo working, so I have a little bit of time to decide.

I was leaning towards the VTR. I still am, just wanted to make sure that was my best option.

Also how well do carto tanks work with it?

I don't know if I'll like or dislike the box shape.

You realize the VTR is made by Innokin right? I think the VTR or the MVP2 would both be a good choice. Just depends on whether or not you want an internal battery or removeable batteries. Also the VTR has a little more voltage and wattage output. 6v and 15w I believe, compared to 5 and 11 on the MVP.

Not sure why everyone else thought you were bashing Innokin, the way you phrased it just seemed to me like you were thinking about getting one but just wanted to make sure there was nothing better. I think we were on the verge of being featured in an episode of "when Innokin fanboys attack!" ;)

I'm not trying to steer you away from the VTR, but there is something I would consider. You say your first Vamo died after the threads wore out. The Vamo's threads are brass, and I believe the VTR is as well? Can anyone confirm what material the threads are? Either way I believe they are a softer metal, not stainless steel, so if you are concerned with long-term reliability of the threads it might be a good idea to look elsewhere.

While I don't have a VTR here to try, I just compared my AGR to my 19mm and 22mm IBTanks. While the AGR is smaller than 22mm, it's also larger than 19mm so it will likely be too large (unless the VTR had adequate wiggle room) My AGR is an original one, I know it's been changed slightly over time, so it is possible the diameter has changed, but I'd double check before planning to use the AGR with the VTR.
