yupyup, VG sure does vape clouds. Powerfull hardware helps too, such as your 510. But even with a wee lil 901 decent VG content gives me crazy vapor, much more than analog.

Long story short, I dont know how atomizers differ other than relative power used in what model it fits in, unless its a quality of production issue.

Anyone?

Of those I've tried (510, 801, 901, KR808d) this is how I break it down.

Most Vapor - 510
Most Throat Hit - 801
Most Flavor - 901
Best ease of use/convenience - KR808d

All IMO and very unscientific since I've never bothered to line them all up and try them with the same liquid and battery, so it's just my :2c:

(I'll be trying a 401 soon, we'll see how that fits in)

All atty's are capable of producing large amounts of vapor, (some more than others as Voltaire stated, but it really comes down to user preference since all produce a different kind of flavor somewhat).

Stronger batteries, like the monster 18650, can make the weakest atty produce volumes of vapor and increase TH. However, flavor tends to drop a bit as you up the amperage (in my experience).

Higher voltage, like 5, 6, and 7.2v battery combos also produce a lot of vapor, but can kill atty's quick if you don't take the time to learn how to use these voltages.

Juice can also make a huge difference in vapor and TH. VG blends produce more vapor than PG blends.

Personally, I always suggest a new vaper simply pick an atty (whichever one it is), stick with it and find the batteries and juices that work best with it based on your own preference. It's my opinion you can turn ANY atty into your favorite atty if you tweak it to your particular vaping style and needs.

As a fairly new e-cig user I have a DSE-801 and blucig kit. I want to start getting into battery mods and experimenting with making my own "high voltage" juices.

I like the idea of taking whatever you have and making it yours, but where do you start?

I think a better question to ask would be "What combination of attomizer, juice, and battery produces the most amount of vapor for you?"

That's what I'd like to know :)

Well.... for me, it was a tie at first. I liked the 401 and 510 attys. 401 for the flavor, 510 for the vapor first and then flavor.

I ended up choosing the 510 primarily because I had to constantly buy adaptors to use 401's on the mods that I chose (the mods I picked purely on aesthetics and battery options).

I prefer the 14500 battery above all others (with either a 510 or LR 510 atty, but I prefer the Low Resistence attys over the normal 510's on this particular battery).

For me the 14500 battery is the sweet spot in amperage for 510's.

But I do use an 18650 battery in my GGTS when I'm feeling lazy and don't want to swap batteries. But with this battery, I prefer using a regular 510 atty and not the Low-Resistence versions since the 18650 is more than powerful enough to make a 510 seem like it's hooked up to a 4.5v power supply.

I tried 6v but wasn't a fan. 5V is really good, but an LR 510 gives you almost the same vape as 5V.

Still, this is purely my personal preference.

if personal preference comes from a connoisseur is it not generally accepted as fine criticism?

so, a lot of the mods and people on ECF use 510's. should i take the hint and put down the 801?

Honestly, I'm looking for little to no throat hit, and as much vapor as I can get out of any combination of devices.

but who isn't?

I'm not going to say drop the 801, but you'll want mods that cater to the 801.

I also perfer minimum TH. It is my personal experience that TH is primarily dependent on your juice, both flavor AND amount of nicotine. Then it's the voltage/atty combo, and finally the battery.

All of my 901's, 401's, 510's, and cartos were capable of producing a mild vape or a harsh one.

I never used 801's but I hear they are high in flavor, so it may be a good choice for you as long as it keeps the cigs at bay.

Start by looking for a mild liquid (check the reviews) and then start looking for mods. You'll want to at least be happy with the flavor and TH of at least one liquid before upping the voltage/amperage.

I may suggest you "try" a 510. It is the favorite of many for more than one reason :D

I'm thinking about trying a 3.7 volt battery mod with the 801 and Tasty Vapor 12mg/35vg Tasty Fingers?

What has thunk of you of that? :mail:

Go for it! =D

I have some reviews of Mods in my sig, but there are other mods out there that are also highly rated.

When looking for a mod, just make sure you like the look of it and also check what users are saying about it.

I've been eyeballing either the "new" Janty Stick or the Hex Copper. I've heard that the Janty is unreliable and doesn't perform too well. The only bad thing that I've read about the Copper is that people don't like how you turn it on. I don't think I would mind pushing it against my mouth too much.

I'll check out your reviews.

:) it's nice to know that a noob like me can feel so welcome in a community like this!
