Received my new baby Indulgence today. Have been hitting it pretty hard and whilst it's my new love I do have a couple of issues.

The charger is bloody awful. The aussie power adapter I bought is 10x better build quality. A std 8 plug would have been nice. batteries bounce out of it if you look at it funny and the top plate does not even touch the terminal without wedging in a conductor. It is a shame this minor but essential accessory really spoils the initial experience.

I'm also worried about longevity of the threads in the body (they feel very fragile) and sometimes the switch clicks and sometimes it feels like a wet sponge. I wish it was more consistent. Add wishing a locking key for the atty adapter.

That said it is an amazing piece of kit for the $. Feels awesome in the hand and vapes up plumes. The design seems to sink heat out of the 510 atty as well, making for a very consistent vape.

Can we get some more info about the passthru. Seems to work sometimes on the laptop but It's inconsistent & I'm concerned about current draw. It is a waste of time on my powered USB hub. A short test on my Iphone adapter seemed better but I haven't had time to play with it. Any tips?

Despite the bloody horrible charger this is a great piece of kit for the $. I hope this critique is taken in the positive theme it is given.

Well yes, the charger has an attitude, but it can be tamed by puling back on the slider with one hand, and inserting the battery with the other.

Just center the positive terminal, and you'll be good.

the threads are fine cut sure, but that may be something I havent seen come back yet. Not saying I wont of course.

but hey, you like the indulgence :)

it is most times reccomended not to use passtheru on a PC or Laptop,
most reccomended method is to use a self powered hub.

I use all of my passthrus on self powered hub, with no problems at all.

I have been using Indulgence on SPH, for a couple of months now, with no problems at all,
works well, and vapes well.

The feeling of the threads concerned me too at first, they feel coarse during the first uses but after a little use they are smoothened.

Two of my atomizer connectors (510 and 901) weren't working and battery cup had some marks but Mud offered to replace the whole kit when it is available and this is fine with me. sh** happens and when it does, customer support is what matters, so a big plus here to EM.:thumb:

The charger I got is fine, it does what it supposed to do without issues.

Another thing I like is that I get to the atomizer exactly the Volts the battery provides without any losses :thumb:

The thing I noticed today - and didn't like - is that the button has became the color of brass and it is becaming darker and darker as I use it. The chrome on it is gone at the point where I put my finger.

Conclusion: I like indulgence! A lot! It feels great to hand, it is ultra lightweight, it is beautiful and the price is right. From the moment I got it it is the only ecig I use, I like it that much. If it is my piece that has these problems, I have no concerns, it happens to the best and the great support covers it.

This was my first order with EM (and surely not the last). My only concern is that if I send this for replacement, before I get a new one, I could get another that doesn't work at all 8-o after 20 days without indulgence (10 to send, 10 to receive at best). It is possible. 8-o8-o

The problem with mine is no attitude, the slider does not hold any real tension on the battery causing them to fall out easily. Also the tab does not connect with the battery terminal. Maybe it is a dud spring?

Cool hopefully as Jumi mentions they will wear in.

Yep vapes real nice and feels great in the hand, just need to get the batteries charged:)

Hi Di and Mudman,

Can you identify a good quality commercial charger for the batts that indulgences use?

Looking for something big and solid that can handle 4 or even 8 batts at the same time.

Oveaseas model would be fine, but something from .... Smith or Tandy (aussie electronics shops) would be even better.

OK I found this one from Dealextreme (which is overseas)
DealExtreme: $11.54 UltraFire 3.0V/3.6V CR123A Charger

But the closest I've found in Oz is this one:
FUJIFILM DL123A Battery for FUJIFILM Charger

Not so sure if the Oz is correct and I'm still after something that will do more than 2 batts at a time.

both of these look fine Zyka,

the one above from deal extreme is what I have and use.

it is dual volage charger, switches from 3v to 3.6v

a good charger,

but I do not know of one that does more than 2 at a time.

What kind of magic you do in indulngences before they leave EM, I don't know...

Mine had some "issues", it could be better... The body has "scars", the button color has faded, two of the connectors don't work... BUT, I don't leave it from my hand! I love it! I even found a way to fix the non-working connectors! I want another silver and a couple of titaniums with extensions and everything!

Through the day I vape indulgence with battery and at night - when on my computer - I am using the 5V passthrough... I have 2 full eGo kits that I don't use anymore, not to mention other kits...

So, what is it? Vodun? Chaos? Ceremonial? 8-o:D

P.S.: One 18350 lasts me a full day, the switch never had a misfire, it is small and beautiful, it is very very light, it has venting holes, it is not expensive so I am not overly stressed that it will be damaged or lost... In a few words, it is a great stress-free little machine. I love it!

The answer is very simple jumi,

MM and Di, do the - "come and be obsessed with me" ritual,

and then we Indulge ourselves in heavenly pleasures of the

vaping of it before we send it out to you,

so it is well experienced in the ways of Obsessive Indulgences.

It is fully indoctrinated into the craving for the hot attys,
and the large powerful batteries.

When you get it,

it is ready to succumb to your eager touch,
and anxious to please you,
like a well trained pleasure machine should be.8-o:)

Well after a couple of days use the threads have settled in and I'm much less worried about them. Love the vape and it just feels great in the hand. Couple of drops of vanilla essence fixed the thin RY4 flavor. When it works it is amazing.

The battery charger is still woeful. It only works with an old coin jammed between the battery and the top terminal, otherwise the terminal doesn't contact the battery. Tension on the spring is pretty weak and batteries fall out if you look at it funny. Definitely the weakest link in the Indulgence experience.

I'm finding the switch intermittent. Most times it works fine but then just stops working. Pulling the parts apart and reassembling usually fixes it but it is quite frustrating and I can't see any real reason for it. Similarly the switch sometimes clicks solidly and other times feels like a soggy sponge. When I put the switch on the multimeter it has also been intermittent. I have noticed the copper terminal is not well centered at the atty end. It seems to contact the correct part of the atty but it does cause the atty to sit at an angle to the unit. Maybe it will also improve with age but it is a bit frustrating. Can the plastic disc be removed to check the mechanism and straighten the pin?

When it works this thing is amazing but not as reliable as I would like. Please find a better charger for the next update, preferably one with a fig 8 style lead.

I have to say that the switch thing seems to be a feature of wearing in - I went through the same as you early on, but now that all the silver has worn off the button itself, the switch is absolutely spot-on - never misses a beat. And just for completeness, I actually quite like the brassy colour of the switch button as a contrast to the silver of the main body - whether it would look as nice on a tit or gold, I can't say, but it looks quite smart on the silver.

Similarly, I've got the old style atty connectors, and the 510 one seems to have given up the ghost (no real loss, as the 510 is far from my fave atty), and I have to admit I agree with you about the charger - it's not up to the same standard as the rest of the kit.

I'll be ordering another full kit fairly shortly - when the new website comes on stream - possibly in gold, and definitely with the passthrough. Even with the niggles, my Indulgence is never out of my hand.

I have suggested with the charger issue, that one takes some sort of pliers, and carefully bends the spring loaded slider forward towards where the battery fits in. This applies positive forward thrust and in most cases does the trick.

If your not savvy in this way, and or you simply do not want to do it, just contact me via CS email, and we'll work it out there.

If anyone is having too many issues with there product, I suggest the same contact supplying the roper information.

Thanks, rick
