My Dad. We used to drive in the car and he would smoke nonstop with the windows closed. He claimed if he had the fresh air button pushed rather than the recycled air that all the smoke would be sucked out.

Daddy would also smoke with all the windows up, with the fresh air option, rather than the recycled air. He said also, that the smoke was being all drawn outside, all the while my sister and I, in the back seat coughing and hacking and turning blue with eyes watering etc. Mother would finally gasp and put ALL the windows down for a couple of minutes and then ALL back up again. It was just strange.
