I've had the spits and sputters from dripping and while somewhat of a different taste I typically don't mind. I did last week however take a direct lung draw (straight inhale not into mouth then inhale) and got a spit of hot juice way back in my throat and I swear it burnt me. Burnt me as much as having a sore throat for a few days after.

Welcome to the club. Haven't had that issue with my clearos, but I used to get it all the time from my cartos if I didn't wait long enough after filling them. Was even worse with the attys and carts (ugh, glad those days are over)

I was tilting it to wet the wicks and ended up with an epic fail. Your not joking about the burning. No fun at all.
You didn't mention what attachment you're using on your battery, but a Knucklehead drip tip will cut down the occurance of that happening again.

I'm using the Kanger T3, and it's never done that to me. I love it. I've tried many many types of atomizing devices, and this may be my favorite. I never tried the others though.
As long as you clean it up well after loading up your carto, you shouldn't have that problem. And if you do and it's a punched carto, the hole might be too big, which leads to your cartos flooding. Have you considered getting the dual prepunched cartos with the small holes? They give an even draw for your juice without allowing too much juice through at once.

Had a CE5 full of BWB Hunter laying on my truck seat going to work. picked it up to vape and got the mouth full. OMG I almost wrecked the truck. turned out the mouth piece was loose.

my first few weeks of vaping, i had more than one time i got 1/2 a mouthful of menthol e-juice. i get the ick shivers just thinking about it, STILL
i have a pair of T2s, gotta check n make sure the atty is still screwed down tight everytime you take the mouthpiece off
