I'm trying to get the tangy/tartness from the Mountain Oak liquid Red Drop. I've searched and read through every thread I can find on these forums and I'm not able to find a single thread on it that's been answered. I can't seem to find any combination of liquids that will come close. I don't want to clone the recipe just trying to get that one part out of it or as close as I can to try with different flavors. Any help is appreciated and welcomed. Thank you.

sorta just to bump your question, but also an idea.

I have never had this particular flavor, but looked it up and it's described as "Lemon-lime-raspberry"

So I'd start with maybe 5% each of lemonade and limeaid.
1% raspberry. (this is a strong flavor)

add a drop of Lorann's "tart and sour flavor boost" (just a drop to start)
or malic acid is also a "sour booster"

Good luck!

Let it steep as long as you can stand it. 3-4 days.

With it being based on a raspberry limeade - I've done the limeade part of it but what's missing is the tart bite. I've used malic acid and at about 30mg per ml. If you put a drop of this on your tongue it will curl your toes, but this isn't that bite that's in red drop there's something that's missing.

Cran Raspberry or Cranberry will help add tartness and the flavors go hand in hand.
