So, after almost exactly five days without electricity, we finally got our power back a few hours ago! WOOHOO! And what did I do to celebrate? Well, first I took a much-needed hot shower, then I sat down and put together a new movie quiz just in time!

And here it is! Which of these movies can you identify from the screenshots below?

I once had to endure 3 days of no power. And this was all over. We got the news from laptops running on batteries connected to a network that was still running on UPS and from the car radio. Day 1, a couple hours after the outage, there was a lot of glass at the major intersection near home and drivers were cautiously negotiating intersections without the benefit of traffic lights. I get home and not long after fire engine sirens were going. All of the stores were closed. No gas available, all the pumps were down, but people were still driving everywhere. I was kind of amazed not to hear reports of cannibalism.

Caff - Glad you're electricity is back on! I know how awful that is. In 2005, we had two direct hits from hurricanes. For the first hurricane, we evacuated, and came home about an hour after power was restored (five days). For the second hurricane, we decided to stay. Electricity and phone lines were out for about ten days. Fortunately, we had two generators, so we hooked up my computer and the refrigerator. But, I hated talking cold showers!

Back to this week's movie quiz, I know 1 and 4. 2 and 6 look familiar; hmmm...

Well, that should do it. The only way you could be more obvious would be to pan the camera on #4 180 degrees.
