It's Movie Quiz time, folks!

I tried to make a decent mix of easy and tough movies to identify this week. And maybe, just maybe, I succeeded. :)

Even so, I have to tell you that I'll be pretty stunned if anybody can name the movie in #7. :D

Good luck!

You got some good ones there! Few people will get #7. I don't know 2 or 8 (children's films! ack!). 3 5 6 7 I know on sight. Pretty sure on 4... blanking on 1 but I've seen it. Got it!
RE: #7 -- The only people I know who have seen that movie are friends I've loaned my DVD copy to. So, imagine my surprise to see that two replies in the thread not only seem to know what it is, but that they're able to ID the movie from that screenshot!

Not surprisingly, it's exactly the two people who I thought might have seen it.

Amusing in 6 to see the WZAZ microphone :)
Until your post prompted me to Google WZAZ, I didn't even know that those were real call-letters. Now that I know what WZAZ is, yeah, that is amusing. :)

#4 taught me a new swear word: fargin' iceholes. :D
#5 there was a Happy Days episode inspired by that movie. The Fonz and Howard Cunningham were on jury duty.
#6 ...and it looks like a big Tylenol!

Too much?

Thanks for the hints! Now I remember what #4 is. I loved that movie!

edit: I for sure know 5 and 6 too.

No no, its the filmmakers initials. ZAZ.
I think 7 won an award at Sundance (though I could be wrong), so it's not completely unknown. I think it's one of those made-for-$10k films. I thought it was pretty good.

Oh yeah! Wow, now my earlier comment seems kinda dumb... Especially in light of the actual cleverness of WZAZ.

#7. It was made for $7k, most of which went for film stock.
Yeah, I believe I read somewhere that the whole production was paid for on credit cards!

Aw c'mon, you can't be expected to get every inside joke in movies. I'm just a movie nerd. :) '
WZAZ being a Gospel station (I googled it just now) is also humorous :)

If you really want to test your movie knowledge watch something like The Limits of Control. It's essentially made of references.

I found both explanations of WZAZ & ZAZ to be very interesting in a movie nerd sort of way!
Now I want more...Let the movie nerd references begin!!
