At my work, we're on the "Swiss system". Switzerland doesn't recognize MLK day as a holiday, so we don't get it off. And.....when they have a "shut down" for a month in the summer, and a couple of weeks in December........We DON'T get that either!

Being a federal worker I get it whether I like it or not - and what's not to like about a paid day off
Being an American, and working at a Swiss company, carries NO benefit for me! Hell, one year, they had the nerve to give us a bag with a big walnut, a tangerine (or clementine), and a new classic size pocket knife @ Christmas time. We all looked @ each other like, W...T...F...!?......One "higher up" (than me) answered (something like), Swiss necessities, and living simply, old days, and being happy for what we have.....blah, blah, blah. If I told you about our "so called" holiday/Christmas party (that's on January 27th (TUESDAY)......You'd get a HUGE laugh......feel sorry for me.....or maybe both.
OK......I'm depressing myself even more than I already am........Have a good night Crew.
They should at least take you on ski trips or mountain climbing or something like that

Thank God it's FRIDAY! I went last night I did the 4 hour course to get my pistol permit. Long, boring class but worth it!
I'll be in and out today, it's like a heat wave here and I want to get some things done while I can.
