Ah yes.... Ya gotta love Capitalism! To bad our country has abandon the system for ... well ... lets just say "another social system".
But yes young grasshopper, there is a a nice profit margin on anything vape related. That's why every Tom .... and Harry has jumped on the band wagon. Just wait until our government gets their grubby little hands in on it. Remember we paid about $4.00 for a pack of smokes that only cost roughly $1.00.
Keep in mind though, when you work up your manufacturing price there are a ton of other things other than simple labor, equipment and tooling. You have to look at all your overhead cost that include your Insurance and workers comp, marketing to the electricity bill all the way down to poopy paper and hand soap in the bathroom. Including that software and computer you used for the design work.
Just a brief example would be our last electric bill for one month was over $3,700. Our Catia software was something like $32,000 for a floating license then another $3,500 / year every year just to keep the license/maintenance on it. You don't even want to know what it cost to keep (2) 5 axis lasers running.
You use catia?! Why? How large is your company? And how about that parasolid kernel going away and being replaced by V6. Still don't know how that's going to pan out.
Also, I would be doing small scale manufacturing. So I wouldn't necessarily have to have a facility. At least not at first. I'm well aware of all those costs.
