I've been vaping for a over a year. Gave up the analogs after finishing the 3 I had in an open pack. I currently use an RSST on an MVP2. I'm experienced at making my own coils, wicks, and flavors. I've been looking at forums and discussions about the various mods and atty's for the last few months trying to decide on my next purchase. After much analysis, I've decided a Reo looks to be a great device with THE best customer service and THE best community for learning and sharing experience. I thought the hard part of my analysis was over. A Reo with a Reomizer is what I'm getting next. Off I go...

Went to the reosmods.com site to order me one and I was like a 5 year old standing in the cereal aisle at Wal-Mart or Costco. Standing in front of all those boxes, trying to select a single box. So, I did a little more introspection and found that color/style is just not really a factor for me (if my wife didn't watch what got put in my closet, I'd be THAT old man wearing a striped shirt with a pair of plaid pants, black socks and sandals). So, I took color/style out of the equation. There just wasn't any of them I thought were 'ugly'.

Now, I need the help of those of you who own the various different models (grand, mini, woodville, standard, LP, SL, LP/SL, Sub-Ohm) of Reo's. Knowing what you know now, imagine you have to get rid of all your current Reo mods, except for one. Which one would you keep? And why? I know everyone is different and value different things. That is why I'm asking those of you with experience with multiple models. You know things I don't even know to think about when it comes to the Reo models. I'm looking for which one YOU would keep and why.

Thanks in advance for your input. Your replies will certainly help me. I'm sure it'll also help many others in my situation.

For me it's the Grand. All REOs now come with the sub ohm kit so take that factor out. Again, for me, the mini is too small. I loved the Woodvil but felt that I had to be too careful and not get it dirty. I like the SL but don't love it. I love how I can take my grand and run it under hot water to clean it. Lately I am leaning towards the LP so I can run different attys on it soooo, bottom line for me would be the Grand LP.

Add:Thurs. is payday and guess where I'll be? At REOsmods buying an LP Grand. (REO #7)

Welcome to the Ville, shuts!

If I were to keep only one Reo it would have to be my LP Grand. I like the grands for the battery life and bottle size, they are extremely tough little mods, and the LP can accommodate any 510 atomizer. All of the new Reos have the upgraded contacts so they are all SO.

Whatever you choose (color or style) will be great as Rob doesn't put out bad products.

welcome to the crazy bunch buddy.

First of all, buying a reo is always the right choice no matter which one you choose. I can of course only give you my opinion and that's about it but I hope it helps.

It depends on what you use. Is it mostly rebuildables? Or are you using mainly cartos or cisco attys?

I learned quickly that if you prefer rebuildables the LP is your best friend. If you want to use for example the cyclone with AFC it won't fit on the regular reo ( does fit without AFC).

There is a threat on the reo that lists most of the rebuildables and lists which will fit which reo model.

Long story short

Regular reo: if you like cartos and Cisco attys

LP: if you prefer rebuildables

Mini: pocket friendly but power and long life span of battery isn't there like it is with the grand

Grand: all day vape, battery power lasts me easily a whole day at work and fits perfect in my hand (mini is a bit too small but I still buy a new mini next week)

Woody: no question on this buddy. If you like your reo you will end up getting and loving a woody (I mean woodvil filthy)

I loved my woodvil rosewood. Maybe just in my head but it gave me an even better vape maybe because of the wood? Probably just Being crazy.

SL: not for me but great for those that need a extremely light unit. Vape won't be different to a regular or LP.

Option 1: get a LP unless you only vape regular attys.

Option 2: (recommended): get all and every reo over time. Can never have enough reos.

Hi shutslar,

I can't imagine only having one Reo but if narrowed to just one type it would be The new Grands :)

I just want to add i love my woodville mini and couldn't give it up either because it is a much loved/used gift.

Sorry i can't help with choices it is too hard. I use cartomizers on my Woodville and RM2's on my Grands.

I currently have six Reos. Three Woodvils, two Grands, and one LP Grand. I like vaping different flavors so they are all in use everyday.

I love the beauty of the Woodvils. But if I could only have one it would be my LP Grand Tumbled Raw Aluminum, TRA for short. The reason being any size RDA will fit. I don't use cartos or atomizers only RDAs. The TRA looks great all the time, much different than the picture on Reomods site. It also feels great in my hand, smooth but not slippery. No paint to chip. It definitely is my favorite.

After spending a great deal of time looking through the Reoville posts on this, and other forums, I figure I'd be seeing a great many posts like this. Since becoming familiar with this community my assumption is that those who don't reply to my question probably passed out at the thought of only having one.

My first choice was a black wrinkle grand, and I still love it. Number two was an LP in silver vein, and I love it. Then got a white from the classies, wow, love that too. Latest addition is the bloodwood/Birdseye woodie, which is also awesome. If I had to sell three, the last man standing would be the LP vs the woody. The woody is just pretty as heck, but the LP vapes better, and will take whatever I give it. There are no wrong choices!

If I could choose only one Reo, it would be a LP silver Hammertone Grand. I've had quite a few metal Reo's and the Hammertone IMHO is the toughtest, most durable finish of them all. Has a nice grippy feel to it that's minimally affected by sweat or grease. I would also highly recommend an LP RM2 and the Rob-Approved AW IMR 1600 battery. And I would buy it new from Rob's site so it will have the SO kit already installed. I've had one Grand that's been thru hell with me doing landscaping and construction and it never failed me even once. Any questions at all, please feel free to pm me. My name is Ed and I am a Reoholic! :)

You're right about some of us sitting here gasping at having to choose. Talk about Sophie's Choice! You might as well ask me which one of my kids I'd be willing to sell. BUT....if I were buying only one, I'd buy the LP Grand --- any color. Personally I'd buy a bright yellow one, but that's really a personal choice. Hahaha.

Just get the LP TRA.

With every other Reo there's at least one thing not to like, trivial as it may be.

Mini: short battery life, small juice bottle
Woodville: not as capable as and more fragile than Grands
Any painted Grand: paint wears with use
HP Grand: limited choice of attys

The LP TRA is perfect.

Now go buy one.

Well... You're not going to go wrong with any REO.

My first REO was a 14500 mini. I've had it since 11/17/2011. It has served me very well. In fact, it has never once failed in any way - not once - not ever. It has performed exactly as expected every single time I've picked it up.

I was fortunate enough to get a VV Woodville. It has also been perfect, but VV models are no longer made. The VV Woodville is my main PV and I carry it with me every day... except when planning to get wet.

Had I not gotten the VV Woodville, I would have undoubtedly gotten a Grand (and I still probably will sooner or later).

OK. To tie those statements together: The mini requires me to carry a spare battery and sometimes a couple spare batteries plus a spare bottle of juice (depending on how many hours I intend to be out). While the newer mini 2.1 addresses battery life with an 18490 battery, the juice capacity remains the same. 3ml is a little limiting. - - - - - - At some point, I decided greater juice capacity would be worth it and I decided to get a larger REO. It was just a little good timing, good luck and my good fortune that I ended up with a VV Wodville. The 6ml capacity and all day battery life have been far more important to me than the VV feature is (I rarely move the dial... almost never, in fact). My mini still gets a lot of use even though I have the larger VV Woodville, but a whole lot of that is because I spend time around water and prefer to carry the mechanical rather than the circuitry regulated REO just to limit the possibility of ruining the regulated one if I get soaked.

If I had a metal Grand, I think if faced with having to choose between that and my 14500 mini or even a mini 2.1, the juice and battery capacity would continue to be what sways my decision on what to carry. I'll never regret my purchase of the mini, but if forced in to a choice, I'd go with the grand.

I like my two minis. The grand is too big and heavy for my taste. I wish my minis were lighter. With an RBA attached it'll really weight down a shirt pocket. I'd luv to see a delrin based mini.

See if you can find a pic with them side by side. IMHO Rob should put comparison pics of them on his site so you can really tell and there is a big difference. True, the grand has longer batt life and 6ml vs 3ml bottle but it isn't a problem. I carry a very small backback around with me with my juice, backup mini, atties, batts and other vape stuff and I imagine that most everyone who vapes does.

Hope this helps
