Multimeter

So I was looking online for devices to measure the volts in my batteries. Would one of the multimeters on amazon be fine? How do other people read voltages on their batteries

I'm not sure what multimeter you are considering but any of them should work fine for checking battery voltages. I use a twenty-something year old analog multimeter that works fine for this purpose.

Those work fine, I use one to check my batteries off the charger or before I put them on the charger.

They also work good to check builds if you done have a ohm reader.

Almost any cheap meter will accurately measure volts but check for ohms range and accuracy if you intend to also use the multimeter to measure resistance of your atomizers.

I used just a five dollar cheap-o from harbor freight. It worked but it defintely is cheap

Agree any meter will do the job for reading voltage. Harbor freight is probably the cheapest place to get one and in all honesty they work pretty well. I bought one and use it for constant voltage measurement on my RC bench. My work meter is a fluke= Top shelf, but if your just using it for small home use the harbor freight meter will do well. I would also check radio shack out they have a few small meters fairly inexpensive.

Would it be fine reading resistances also?

If you do get into rebuilding and want to read low ohms, as in what our atomizers are, then mulitmeters can be a pain. Better to get one of the dedicate atomizer ohm meters for that. They are about $10 on Fasttech or $20 at any decent B&M. A cheap multimeter should still be part of your kit but the ohm meters will save a lot of frustration when rebuilding heads.
