"Hachi: A Dog's Story"
Watched it last week, and it was absolutley beautiful! It's a true story, and stars Richard Gere. If you love dogs, this is a MUST see. After seeing the movie, I googled the real Hachi (aka Hachiko) and was immensely touched by such a loyal creature. I know the love of any pet is a blessing, but this dog was truly unique!

OMG! I just went to youtube and watched that movie. Yes have a box of tissue-what a terrible ending.
If I had known the movie was going to end so unhappy I would not have watched it. I like movies with happy endings.
All together a very good movie with tragic and sad ending-ok I guess for those who are ok with that.
Now I have to go blow my nose...

oh lordy, stacey.... get a hold of the movies Best In Show and The Sandlot - might still need a tissue or two, but from tears and snot from laughing....

... just a side note... if devoted dogs are allowed to see and visit with their dead person - the longing loss will not happen, although sometimes the dogs will just will themselves dead in a short period of time....

Hachi: A Dog's Story

The movie that can make grown men cry

i am still stuck on the dog fetching the ball towards
the end of the movie when the grandfather fell over
dead in front of his class. the night prior him and his
wife were in the house i guess you could say they
were making doggy sounds loud enough where the dog
seemed like he was hearing it-was that why he fetched
that next morning and kept barking at him before
he got on the train?
from that scene at the train station all till the last of the
damn movie i balled like a damn baby. if i had known it
was going to have a bad ending-i never would have watched
it to the end. i hate the ones that have bad endings, i
guess you can say that i am partial to the happy endings.
you remember @ the end of Romancing the Stone, where
he is going after the crocodile that just went over the brick
wall with the hand and the stone-and he stops long enough
to tell her bye... =)))) Lol! i may have gotta real good damn
cry out the way guys-man did i=)( because i love animals...
the loyal, follow you to the ends of the earth type dogs like hachi.
