to ecf Jklpub. Nice to meet you and glad that you are here. Boy, talk about starting off with a technical question. That's good. I am looking forward to seeing what others are using now. Because it might not fire under 1Ω I suppose that might but some limitations on a dual coil. I always wanted to try a twisted 32g on the kayfun but never got around to it before I moved on. You're gonna love all the threads around ecf and I look forward to seeing what you do. Good luck to you and make yourself at home.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Glad to have you here!:)

The MVP doesn't have enough power to fire a dual coil efficiently. Not the you can't purchase a RDA that is capable of running dual coil. Just make sure the RDA you purchase can also run single coils.

The Magma is a great RDA (great flavor) that can run both. Edit: Not an RDTA.

Greetings all,

I purchased a MVP 2.0 and an Iclear 30, but would like to add a rebuildable tank atomizer (rdta?). Could anyone give advice on a good dual coil rebuildable to use with this mod?

Thanks

Maybe the Big Dripper;
its a dual coil rdta
you press down on the top to squirt juice on the coil.

For the mvp2 which only goes up to 11 watts, you'd have to wrap your coils with 32 gauge (maybe 30), but not 28 or thicker.

Yes, the MVP 2.0 is rather limited. As was mentioned, a single coil will even suck up some power. An RTA or an RDA is possible though. With all that in mind, I would consider a 30w MOD that can go down to .5 ohm. Not that you will use it today, but you will have more vaping options and can grow into different facets of the vaping experience.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have always been someone who loved to tinker...usually with things that I shouldn't. :)

I got the MVP 2 as a place to start enjoying vaping, but being the tinkerer that I am, I am sure that it won't be long until I attempt to build my own 100 - 150 watt mod. Then I can go crazy.

The issue with the MVP 2 is that it's not gonna let you tinker. The internal protection is just going to shut it down if you try to fire much of anything below 1.2 ohms. It's only a 15 watt device and it won't be a good vape trying to build a dual coil in that resistance range or higher. So you may need to rethink the question: Do you want an RTA or do you want dual coil? If dual coil is a must then you need to buy a higher wattage box to go with.
