Hi,

I have an MVP 2 that is just a few months old and and is now not functioning properly. I use the MVP with rebuildable drippers and Kanger mini ProTanks.

The MVP will work for a short period with any of the above toppers and then just stops suddenly. Still have power, but the ohms drops to 0.0 or reads non. If I take the same tank or dripper off and put it on a Itaste vv2, the vape is totally fine. Multiple tanks tried on the MVP and vv2 - same results all the time.

Additionally, on the MVP, there are times after pressing that the green light remains on for an extended period, as if it does not want to shut off. After 10 seconds or so it does shut off.

I would appreciate and help or thoughts on my MVP. I don't know if I can fix it, or if it's time to buy a new one. Thanks!

I believe the first problem is a connection issue, it sounds as if the center pin has been pushed down slightly. It happened to my Vamo, not my MVP2 and while it is not a common issue with the MVP it does not mean it cannot happen. That can be fixed by replacing the washer under the center pin. The best way to describe that is to see it. My local vape shop helped me with mine but there are videos online to help.

The second issue is slightly harder, my original MVP started doing this right before I accidently broke it. Basically it is an internal problem that is making your button stick. I just had to press it again to get it to shut off. I was getting ready to take mine apart before i broke it completely. I do not know how proficient you are in electronics but when I was getting ready to take mine apart I had already written it off.

My recommendation is to get a new one. Keep the old one though it still works as a sweet battery pack for emergency situations

The MVP2 has one annoying design flaw: that 510 connector is just slightly longer than standard. A lot of people then try to get around the problem by cranking down on devices to get an electrical connection to the center post. Short term that works. But it can result in pushing down the center post on the MVP connector so you can't make an electrical connection with much of anything.

The one this you most likely have to do is pull up the center post on the MVP. You can try to grab it with slant tweezers with nice, fine edges. Or by working the smallest jeweler's screwdriver in between the center post and the o-ring surrounding it, trying to lift & pull up on the center post. Don't be too aggressive doing this - pull it up only the smallest amount or your risk breaking the wire connecting to it.

Because part of the problem is the 510 connector being just a bit too long some people have gone as far as filing the 510 connector down even. Not sure how they approach doing that.

Props man 2thumbs up! Now I wonder if I can find a replacement for mine (would u happen to know)?
Mine got stripped also stripping a Nautilus Aspire tank. So only connection I get is a female tank , local shop pointed me in direction of a kanger aero min. It works but fill it 5* a day and i still dislike Kangers new stuff as I did there old.
Since then I've picked up an evic supreme and a new Nautilus Aspire. Hate to just discard the mvp tho I love that little box.....

I just did a little test and oddly the mini aero doesn't even register or fire on the evic. Did the mvp screw up threads both ways (I wonder)? Weird the evic and mvp both do tests on rba resistance. ....
