I guess so.
But pretty much the thing I look at first these days when checking out mods is width.
If it is close to my MVP20W then I'm interested.
For my hand anyway.

One of the reasons why I'm interested in the new Vaporshark DNA40 (Not rDNA):
2.94 x 1.50 x 0.88 Inches

MVP20W:
4.21 x 1.61 x 0.86 Inches
Eric
Edit:
Actually the MVP20W is more like 3 3/4" high.

ya know, I really think the best device on the market
is the VaporShark dna 40’s
for the : Price / Size / Features , they go beyond all others…
then Made In USA is a warm fuzzy feeling…

and to me, the sizes are so close, makes no difference…
$159-DNA 2.94 x 1.50 x .88
$189-rDNA 3.25 x 1.67 x .95

but it is just not my style to spend so much on vaping
so it’s not in my dna
:( (pun intended) :p

All mm:

MVP20W: 22 X 41 X 107

50W-iStick: 23 X 45 X 83

MVP3: 23 X 46 X 102

Smok XPro M80 Plus: 22 X 55 X 85

Actually the MVP20W is more like 95mm.

3.75 ". My bad.

Eric

yepper, I thought of correcting that also

from end cap to end cap

the MVP body (2.0 & 20W)

is 95 mm (no ego threads)

:)

About to start on my 4th full charge on my MVP 3(counting the initial factory charge as the first).

Considering how much juice I've been going through and how high I usually have the wattage...the battery life is pretty impressive.

The yellow light timing is still a slight annoyance, but nowhere near enough for me to give this thing anything less than 5/5 if this were a review :3

If you're still on the fence about getting one, just do it lol. Or wait until the price drops more then get one :p

It starts talking to dead relatives.

Ha, yeah. Lately, it seemed to be staring at the door.

Seriously I have 3, 2 are over a year old and the only thing that has happened is the amount of puffs before charging has gotten lower. Whether that will be a slow progression or fall off the cliff, I don't know.

Buy another device and keep the MVP for a backup if you think it is going.

Good deal. I though maybe it wasn't hitting as hard as it used to, but I suspect it's my attys.

I have been eyeballing the iStick 30W.

No free shipping unless you order more. Both pages say:
isticks do not qualify for free priority upgrade, unless order is over $70.

Supposedly there are twin batteries of some sort. It baffles me why any of these internal mod batteries last so long compared to the round form factor. My MVPs last nearly two days at approximately 2200mah. A round 18650 2500mah battery lasts a day. Not sure what gives.

Same usage? Same coil configuration and resistance?
    Same power setting?

How do you determine to stop using the 18650?
Are you using it in a mechanical mod or something with regulation?

All could cause the differences you see.

Also, what's the source for the cells? A lot if used, "recovered" cells out there with little known about the history.
Lots a false cells too. They wrap a 1500mAH battery with a label that says 2600. Or use poor quality cells that loose capacity in a few cycles.

If you have access to a tester, I'd suggest you put your 18650 cells on it and see what it shows as the capacity.
You probably see that they are not 2600 mAH anymore, maybe they never were.

It's pretty simple... 'Battery A' != 'Battery B'. Batteries are designed and manufactured to have different properties. If everything else is the same (exact use case, ambient temp, etc), then the two batteries have wildly different discharge characteristics. Pretending that each 'day' you listed is equal... I would have to guess that your 18650 is junk. now... if you aren't putting the same battery into the same mod with the same atty and using it exactly the same... I could understand there being differences, but I figure your stated comparison was fair by design. There is always the chance that the mod used to test the 'round' battery just isn't anywhere nearly as efficient as the MVP at voltage conversion or has a (much) higher voltage input min.

I just finished checking the output of some batteries... and the first charge/discharge cycle yielded 2511, 2486, 2485 & 2435mA from brand new '2500mAh' 18650 batteries... which is GREAT since I only discharged them to 3V (versus the 2.5V the 2500mAh rating is based on) and they are brand new (which means it will take a few charge/discharge cycles to get best results).

Were you using the same atty/coil both times?

What mod were you using the 'round' battery in?

What model is the 'round' battery?

What output wattage(or voltage) were you using with what coil resistance?

Your post may have provided me with the inspiration to desolder the battery from a brand new MVP20W so I can put it on the same battery tester to see the results :)

This was true for the LG He2, Samsung 25r, Panasonic NCR18650Pf. All last about 1 day for me in any mod. All 1.6 ohm coils. 8 watts

My one year old MVPs at 8w and 2 ohm coils are going around 500-600 puffs before yellow. If it is late in the day, I just charge them. Rare that I get in the 700s before red comes on.

I paid 80.80 for two shipped then. Good value for me. Used them as ohm meters when building. Learned about different coils and ohms and clearos and drippers with them.

the Tesla S model sedan (electric car) has 7,100 18650 Li-Ion batteries in it
The battery is guaranteed for eight years or 125,000 mi
after 8 years, battery replacement costs :
•$10,000 for the 60 kWh battery,
•$12,000 for the 85 kWh battery
    {VaporShark will replace the single 18650 for $25}

two years ago I didn’t know what an 18650 was…

    two battery pak models (230 miles / 362hp) & (320 miles / 416hp)

battery swapping can be done @ $60-$80 a shot (appx price tank of fuel)
takes about 90 seconds to swap...

price for the 5 seat (+ 2 rear facing jump seats) range: $70k to $105k

wonder if it has a plug-in for my MVP…?

boy-o-boy, I’ve said it before but worth saying again
the high powered ‘mini’ wars are a raging !
along with all the new ‘subΩtanks’
    say a - .1Ω @ 82Watts
what’s the juice mileage on that ??
and how does that feel going down your throat ?
wonder what daily battery life is and how battery stress
    plays in before needing replaced…
    - - -
imagine sitting in an outdoor café, off the beaten path…
say in Cairo, Guadalajara, Omaha, or Istanbul – a tall glass of scotch in one hand,
a Sigelei 150W with an Aspire Atlantis in the other…
yellow stained fingers; match carrying people,
looking at you like you just transported down from your space vehicle
as you calmly exhale thick pungent clouds of what they think is smoke…

then a finger in the air toward the roving bar-keep
“a large hot coffee please, best you have now – thank you”
the ‘locals’ just look on with amazement as you
release another thick cloud, the size of a refrigerator, then another sip -
    - ahh, ain’t the 21st century wonderful…
