Question, since I already have two full size Nautis, would a mini be worth buying?

I have one of each (with the BVC's). They both vape the same.

The mini has a smaller profile and may "look" nicer on the MVP2. And it's Adjustable Airflow Controller does have markings on it and "clicks" into place.

But...I vape the BVC's at 11 Watts on my MVP2 (and 13-14 Watts on my Vamo) so I have to refill it's 2ml. tank frequently!

I'm planning on getting (at least 1) more original Nautilus with the 5ml tank.

Whats everyones preference here in terms of PG vs. VG? Im currently finding that I prefer higher VG for the vapor production.

On what topper?

I'm finding 80PG-20VG joose on my Aspire BVC's gives me at least twice the vapor as 20PG-80VG joose in my T3S's.

Hubs and I love our MVPs and are looking to pick up a couple more - anyone know of a good Labor Day sale going right now? I think I will go with the "Petals" edition this time.

Not a "Labor Day Sale"...just their regular price...$38.99 with FREE (incredibly fast) shipping:

On another note
that’s exactly how all mine fit
the base doesn’t snug up tight to the tank bottom
(less than fingernail gap)
the o-ring is more than enuff (never had a leak)

- - -

same restriction with the i16
tried to drill out center hole in base, turns out it is
a ‘tin cup’, so I put it back in and forced a nail thru
to open hole just a bit – worked marvelous…

don’t have a i30 anymore, but it looks like in the pic,
the i30 base is set up the same way (might be worth a try)

:)

I'm a little lost with the "drill out the bottom" comment , are you talking about drilling into the threaded connector to allow more air in ? I tried that and it made no difference on mine , all i did was drill out the tip to enlarge it and then cut off the nipple on the rubber top cap and enlarged that hole.

I wish i knew for sure what your explaining but if i asked you to explain it again you will tell me to get bent and i don't like getting bent , it's not fun to me.

Yeah, suppose I should have established a baseline for what clearo/rba/rda is being used. The mentions others have made have confirmed what I suspected to be true: vaping is fantastically subjective.

Its funny- I smoked the same type of cigs day in and day out and they were fine with me (except I knew they were terrible for me). Start vaping and all of a sudden Im all over the board- different flavors, different coils, different wicks, different clearos, different vg/pg concentrations, etc etc. Sometimes I prefer one thing and sometimes another. Its cool that its more varied, but I feel like im chasing my tail sometimes :p

There has been one constant: the MVP 2 :D

in the pic I posted, the i30 base is middle/top
the center hole of the base
if you look thru the bottom of the i16 (bottom to top)
bottom of hole is big, top of hole is small
so I thought I’d drill it out
well it spun and came out (it’s just a tin insert)
so I put it back in, then forced a nail (just bigger than top opening)
thru the top part of hole – wow, big diff
like I said, ON THE i16,
I don’t have a i30 to play/test with
but from the pic, it looks the same…

I was looking at herb's nipples. Well really my nipples. Anyway the hole in the tip is only tapered about half way down. I put a 1/16 drill up though the bottom (coil side) until it met resistance. Took my nail clippers and bit in where the top of the drill could be seen through the plastic. Removed the drill and clipped off the tip. Didn't seem to make a lot of difference but I didn't drill the bottom holes yet.

It's happening to me too. Double coils are the main culprits followed by the volt guzzling Nautilus mini (needs always 5 volts for a decent vape!). You can still vape it plugged in, won't affect performance too much, but if you hit it too often it won't charge enough.

Sadly it seemed fine until the past week or two. My gf had been using it with a single coil pt2 set at 8-8.5 watts.. Charged frequently, before or right as it turned yellow.

Only thing I can think of is running it at 11 Watts for 2 months damaged the battery.

Via a possessed phone thats autocorrect is just silly

i16 and i30 are like nite and day. That shouldn't do a thing for draw on the 30.

If you flip that base over, like all the i30 tanks, there are two air holes in the side of the threads. The i30 is smallest of all the 30 tanks. You can probably drill those out but just going to any of the other "30" tanks you'll find the holes are bigger in all of them. Only the {plain} i30 is giving that tight draw.

(I should say the "holes" are the smallest, not the tank)

I'd be interested in how they work for you, Paul. :) But we'll have to agree to disagree on the holes. :)

If you look at the base (the 510 connection threads) you'll note that the air holes from the air channels are tiny. If you have any other i30 (S, B, X.1) the holes are much, much bigger. IMO that's the restriction. Unless you drill those out the center hole won't matter since they can only get the amount of air from the bottom intake holes. Even if you double the size of those holes they're still only able to intake what the bottom holes allow in.

Essentially, if you hook up a garden hose to a fire hose... you can only get the volume of water the garden hose lets in.

But if you don't like the tight draw, just drill those out or go to any other i30. They're all looser draws. But like I said... I like the tight draw so I'm content as is. :D

Datz my opinyun n' I'm stuk wid it! LOL

You are correct of course. My point is still that you can make the 510 holes larger but it still has to go through the pin. A 1/16 is too big, 18ga needle goes in. Opening the rubber shouldn't give more flow unless there is some aerodynamics going on that I don't have knowledge of.

I'm fine with the draw as well. I just like messin' with stuff.

Yup. I hear ya. :) Thing is I'm pretty sure enlarging anything but those two air holes won't matter. Even if you made everything in it 1/2" holes. :) Seems to me the pin hole in the base isn't that small. Still limited to the minute air holes in the base. It's only allowing x amount of air into the pin. But again, my opinion. Could be wrong. I always say, common sense doesn't always make sense. And logic isn't always logical. LOL

And, FWIW, I thot I was wrong once! But later found out I was really right so that meant I was wrong. :( I had mutch sadness. :/ Really wrecked a perfect score. :(

But like you, I like the draw so I wouldn't want to experiment. But if someone doesn't like the draw, that's where I would start to loosen it up. Or, you kin just send em to me! LOL Already got one from Judy and it's in my rotation. (Thanks again!!!)

I just wanted to say hi.. I am running an MVP 2.0 and just added the aspire nautilus mini to it today and loving it.

I am also in agree the holes in the base of the i30 need to be a little bit larger to get more airflow.

hey Big Dewey, welcome to club MVP

sure seems the hot set up going at the time

lots of people happy with the little naut on the MVP...

:)

It was probably designed by a dam smoker to be like a cigarette. Crazy. Probably one of those that smacks the new pack on his palm for half an hour before he opens it.

I can't see paying $10 each for them but will take any orphans too.
