Man that really sucks but to be honest i am not really surprised , you have said on numerous occasions that you run ohm's considerably lower on the MVP going quite aways back.

Not following a charging routine to increase cycle life and running builds at or below 1 ohm i guess it's to be expected out of a device not really designed to do that .

Hey, you got a free Reo , your in good shape lol, i would recommend a dna 30 type device or mechanical since you love drippers and low ohm builds.

I had the exact same thought the minute I saw WS's post. I recall several post on how well it was running sub ohm coils and people warning that this was bad for the battery. I think that kind of heavy draw is probably the culprit here.

Be more difficult than I had imagined.. But oh well. Lol..

The nemmy is running strong like bull!

Edit, I was following a charging routine. It only saw red once, and I almost always took it off at 4.1. but yah... Its my fault im sure... The thing is, if its not meant to run .8, why did they allow it to do so?

Your absolutely correct that it was worth the fairly small amount of money to play around and have fun with. I have spent a lot more $ for a lot less fun and that's for sure. I just kind of thought it was important for people to realize that this is not the kind of life we should expect under normal use.

pufz what's the recipe if I might ask?

still trying to narrow it down, but
my RY4 (FA-RY4 15% in 25/75 NIC)
then with that, I mix`d what looks like 20% butter pecan
how: 6 drops butter pecan (.32ml) in my 1.6ml tank
then topped off with my RY4 (1.28ml)
17mg-46/54% - but yum

- Butter Pecan Electronic Cigarette Flavoring - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes

smooth, tasty, pretty cloudy too...

Oh man am i ...... , i had just finished doing a multi quote response that took me about 20 minutes and clicked to post and i'm directed to the login screen , HELLO ,IS ANYONE THERE ? i'm already logged in , dang it , dang it, dang it man , i hate when that happens.

Anyways thanks Puff for your detailed response , i get what your saying , to Paul and Gary , i drilled out those microscopic holes on the base about 5 months ago and and to my disgust it made zero difference .

I think i need to enlarge the hole puff was talking about as well , this is an awful lot of work , last time i sweat like this i was breaking up pavement with a jackhammer .

not having an i30 anymore can only guess
but what would it hurt…

with the i16 it was a matter of deduction
suck/blow thru :
drip tip – nope
coil itself – nope
tank – of course not
the base – BINGO, restricted
so I opened the hole – also remember the i16 is like
the i30, both have 510 connecter threads, & can use the same coils
made a big diff with my i16’s

:)

I got the usual confirmation emails right after placing my order. Just happened to check my email and I got one email from paypal with a tracking number and another from the company

Wow Paul , i think you just got a personalized response from the owner himself , at least thats what my intuition tells me and it has yet to steer me wrong lol.

Holy Moly , you were running that sucker at .8 lol , i didn't even know it could go that low . If you get another MVP try following an early charge (like when it first hits 3.7 volts) which will be considerably earlier than when it hits yellow , i would avoid the red zone at all costs .

At least thats what i read numerous times about the batteries the MVP uses on the 'Battery University' website.

It says pretty plainly that the things to avoid are letting the battery discharge past a certain point , overcharging , subjecting the battery to extreme cold and heat etc...

There's also info on reviving a possibly dead battery like the MVP uses and it's definitely worth a read before you toss it , i think in this case it would be futile though

Whats wrong with your Reo?.

Matter of deduction huh , sounds better than my "start dismantling at the most least likely spot the issue is most likely to be located at " approach.

Good advice

Lol like I said I followed a charging routine.. Charged a soon as it was yellow took off before the green turned off (4.1) about half the time and let it fully.charge the rest of the time. It had to be the fact I was running at max watts and min ohms that the device would tolerate. .8 is the lower limit on the MVP. Below that and out wont fire. Id be interested in the battery read you refer to.

As to the reo.. Its an antique.. Uses 14500s so no sub ohming (although I can live with that) but the catchcup is tiny diameter so I need to get it milled or mill every rda Id put on it. Itll be fine once I get some cash...

But its just a very specialized device. Got to have bottom feeding rdas, and for this one special batts... Actually have both but the rda won't fit without an adaptor and that runs the risk of shorts. Ehh im very lucky regardless so i'm not complaining.. And the MVP still lasts a day... So its not garbage..it just spoiled me on batt life.... Again.. Best 45$ I ever spent!

I think someone had the issue two days ago. If I remember, I believe the fix was a "reset" of sorts. On and off, plug in the charger to the wall, on off again. ( there might have been a dance involved somewhere too). Pretty sure that fixed the issue. Look for posts about 8/25 .....
Well the weird thing is both my Iclear X.1 work in it but neither my Nautilus or Nautilus mini, Stillare or my Tobh's will work on it still. I'll have to look back for that post to see if I can get it to work for me with something other than the Iclear x.1 which I hate.

Welcome Juni!

I don't believe the MVP has been cloned. I've seen other posts where Innokin specifically brands MVPs for various resellers.... Supposedly there's to be an authentication number (scratch-off) on the side of your box. You should be able to verify via Innokin's website.

MVP is a great beastie! Welcome to the club!
