Ya know, after playing with this stuff and watching/reading all the forums for nearly a year... I'm not getting it. Everyone and their brother wants to go lower and lower.
Personally, the lower I go, the less I like it. I get more flavor, more clouds and juice lasts longer when I'm over 2 Ω

As far as the i30, I have some 2.1 coils and some 1.5 coils. Both actual innokin replacements. The 1.5 are in the back of the drawer for an emergency back up.

gary, i agree 100% with your statement with the MVP i like it between 1.5 to 2.1 and i usually lean t-words the higher end for the best flavor and the clouds are still there.

i've even found this to be true with Mec's also, nothing like a 1.0 ohm coil for flavor & clouds, imo it's the perfect combo.

on the MVP i have fallen in Love with my Carto Tanks with a 2.8 single coil Carto installed, the flavor is amazing...and i get plenty of vapor in the 10 second allotted time....also found the Carto replacements last alot longer then other BDC & single coil replacements for other systems....i think it's the simplicity that makes it work so well......have a great Day! :vapor:

I don't think, my observations, that there is that much difference from1.5-2.5 ohms. Same with .1 volts or .5 watts adjustments. Or dual vs single coils.

I did find that drippers can work better than clearos and more air can work better than less.

I've settled into over 2 ohms for battery life and single coils for simplicity. I'm old and still work 8+ hours a day.

I also decided that people that smoked good old tight packed cigs like a tight draw and air suckers must have used some other device in adventures.

I hear ya, Paul but my point is most folks here may be going in the wrong direction. I don't meant by seeking lower, I mean by seeking flavor they're throwing away flavor.

I did try a few kf's and the rest and to me... marginal. Thing is I DID find an ADV early on. Actually a few. And they work best at 2.1 with a clearo. I have no need to seek better flavor or clouds. I found it and I have it. Am I lucky? Most likely.

BUT, those who are reading these forums and listening and wanting to use this or that and do this or that... well, it's just possible they haven't stumblied across the right juice for their palette yet! :)

Most who start to vape do it because they want to quit smoking. Likely finding the juices they tried... marginal compared to smokes. I was the opposite. Never wanted to quit. Just found some amazing flavors that hit the spot. So I have no need to try to improve perfection, so to speak. :)

I'm not saying don't experiment. Just saying that it may be fun to do but if it's for improvement on what you already experience it may be an effort in futility. Or not. :)

If what you re saying is that a lot of vapers dont know what they re looking for, I m with you

on the smaller RDA's/RBA's for use on the MVP the biggest concern has been imo not enough heat time for the coils, some use the double tap method with their preferred Kanthal wire gauge, in this situation the use of 30 gauge Nichrome 80 wire (for the MVP) works amazingly well it heats quicker than Kanthal for a great dripping Vape. :vapor:

I also decided that people that smoked good old tight packed cigs like a tight draw and air suckers must have used some other device in adventures.

Over a decade of rolling my own, I tended towards less tightly rolled.
And my pipe has always been very airy/free flowing.
Most of my cigars are rather tight though (never got a draw poker, just hand massaged them)

I still don't get the cloud chasing though. Not even my cigars yield clouds like they go for.
I think it's just a fad, something different, cool, etc.

I doubt they get much more flavor, but they think they do.

I've been meaning to try a few liquids I like on a low resistance setup at the local shop, but haven't had chance yet.

I fig'er the youg'uns still got taste buds and maybe don't need much flavor to taste sump'in

Almost 10 months and I still want a cig. This just gives me something to do so that I don't.

Wutz a taste bud. ;) Different with me tho. First juice was a cherry tobacco since I used to love it when I used a pipe. It was pure ambrosia. Of course, they discontinued it right after I ordered it. ##$*

But stumbled across a couple more non tobacco flavs that rocked my world.

As far as smokes, tried one after about a week of vaping and it was horrendous. Another week went by... still awful. So two smokes total after I started to vape. No desire for them whatsoever now.

Moral of the story, if you want to quit (or even don't want to), find something that tastes better. Quitting is instant.

So I wanted to chime in and ask has anyone used an rda on their MVP? If so what is ur optimum build? Ohms? And ehat setting on yhe MVP do u vape it on?

I got my new MVP yesterday busted one is on its way back to Indiana. Got my myself the stillare rda. Built 1.1 coil lots of flavor an vapor its awesome
But the question remains is 1.1 too low in ohms for the mvp? Especially for battery life

1.5 to 2.1 ohms with 30 gauge wire is optimal for the MVP w/RDA , Nichrome 80 will heat faster than Kanthal....

i use a mixture of Cotton & Cellu, but either will work great, single coils work best on the MVP.... enjoy!

do my wraps on a 3/32 bit for the MVP

you will most likely run into slow heating issues with 28 gauge on the MVP but you can always double-tap the button

Lightning Vapes sells Nichrome 80 wire in all gauges, 25 ft of 30 gauge is pretty cheap
15% off code "LV15" without the quotes

Off topic: Review of the eLeaf iStick from Spinfuel Magazine:

eLeaf iStick ReviewSpinfuel eMagazine | Spinfuel eMagazine

(Mods, if this isn't appropriate here, please delete, thanks)

There are two threads going in this subforum and I have been following both.

It is an interesting looking little device and would surely replace the MVP if size matters BUT there are some that feel that it does not have step down volt buck which is a problem for those that need lower volts/watts. Waiting for someone to test the output. Also no one knows the output form. We know that the MVP is high mhz like a P word with good filtering. Some are raving about how wonderful the iStick vapes compared to their MVP. I think those people are running high watts or are new toy euphoric.

I hope it does step down and has a high output wave and really is 2200mah and all that for $50.
