thought i'd share what i think is a good find and it's sorta related, a nice little lockable case to hold your MVP or a minimal amount of vape gear.....i use mine as a rebuilding box to hold all my wire and tools...if anyone is interested.........if you walk inStore you can find them on the back wall in the Pharmacy section.....where you ask, Wally-World of-course
http://www.walmart.com/ip/Vaultz-Locking-Medicine-Case/28904365

some of the re viewers have had trouble with setting-up & using the lock codes, i never bothered i just use it without and it works fine, besides if someone wanted in the box the lock won't do any good anyway and the button press is too stiff for a child to open so it all works out.

Good find. Thanks for sharing

Ok... are you willing to dump out a mass of material versus plugging the battery in to recharge it (just like you add fuel to your lighter or car)?

If priced similar to lighter fluid, sure. Don't think that's do able though.

But a small, compact battery that would last 4-7 days would be nice.

That's really the biggest holdback I see in vaping now. And it was surely the biggeste issue in past decades.

As far as Li+ cellular batteries... the ones I have worked with in the past normally topped out at around 3C max 'safe' draw, with reality being more like 2C for any 'human' amount of time.

2C or 3C rates should be OK for most.

4V on 1.8ohm is <9W. so at 7V (like the camera battery mentioned) you only need 1.3A to get the same power.
That's less than 2C for the 800mAh battery. Of course that would require higher resistance coils.
Or, use a DC-DC buck circuit

Usure what the longevity of a LiPO cell/pack would be with that sort of use though.
Guess I need to go browse the DIY threads...

Thank you for the post... I'll likely be picking one of these up...

Anyway.,.. in relation to that (and here is a pic)... I thought I would share one of my favorite reviews for that case... as I did elsewhere...

Pic and stuff...

Well, we got by with lighters that lasted a few days between refills (carried a Zippo for 25+ years) or a few weeks for disposables (Bic says 3000 strikes, so ~150 packs, but most people would misplace a Bic before that)

Yup, we were always misplacing the Bic lighters, and I was afraid to use my 30 year old Zippo for the last couple years of when I was smoking for just the same reason (that I might misplace it). Then when we moved out of our old house that we lived in for 10 years, we found Bic after Bic after Bic in all sorts of places, under the sofa, behind the stove, under the sink, in drawers that we never open but once in a blue moon, and tons of them lying all over the place in the garage and backyard. I think we must have found about 30+ Bic style disposable lighters when we finally got everything out of the old house. Of course I misplaced my 30 year old lighter that I bought in my early years of smoking, but I'm still looking for it. It doesn't have any monetary value as it's just a simple brass zippo, but the 20+ years that I did use it have some sentimental value to me.

Oh, I even found a couple Bic style lighters inside of shoes in the closet that I hadn't worn in years.

and I was afraid to use my 30 year old Zippo for the last couple years of when I was smoking for just the same reason (that I might misplace it).

For some reason I never had trouble there. Disposable, I couldn't keep up with, but the Zippo satyed with me.
Granted there's a dent or two form when I left it on the roof of the car. And I never carried dad's Zippo from Vietnam, though I did try carrying the refillable butane ligher (but it leaked so I gave up).

Only place my Zippo didn't go was to Afghanistan. Was worried I'd loose/damage it there. Bought one just for the trip instead.
(Lost the guts from it at an airport upon return too. Airline rules are a crazy mismash)

Again, no monetary value, but I've had it longer than just about any thing else I own.

Still, I'd like to have a battery that lasts as long as my lighter. Charging daily is monotonus, and there's always the chance you forget and are stuck w/o power. Even if the lighter ran out of fluid/flint, I could always find fire.

And current battery tech means a very limited life for batteries. Even the electronics have a limited life.
Who thinks their current MVP will be usable in 5 years? I'm not even sure my mechanical mod will last 10 (maybe with a few repairs?)

Still it's better than what would have been possible 20 years ago. And much better than 40 years ago.
(Just think about battery life/weight/size in old bag phones v/s modern smart phones).

I have watched that balloon flight thing they do in ABQ NM in October. Pretty darn cool, all those balloons in the sky

Ah the memories! I use to room with a guy who worked for the president of the Albq. Int. Balloon Fiesta. Balloon rides and chase trucks for the whole week every year!

The SVD2 was supposed to be released in September. I'm guessing they're holding off til closer to Christmas so everyone who wants one will be getting one in their stocking. And make it a hot item and there won't be any sales. Because they won't need one to push them.

So a few days ago I wrote that my MVP 2 will flash the green light after taking a hit on it for only about 6 seconds as if i had taken a 10 second hit on it and it was doing the 10 second limiter but I was wrong.

What I'm seeing is that when my MVP 2 is plugged in and fully charged and I let it sit for a few minutes and then take a hit on it I get the Innokin lightshow, the same lightshow you get when your device is turned off and you press the button 3 times to turn it on. (Red yellow green)

Is this normal that the device will turn off by itself when its been fully charged and still plugged in and then turn on automatically just by pressing the button to vape on it?

As far as the MVP 3.0 well..... If my version 2 had worm out by then and the 3.0 is really innovative, I mean really innovative not just higher wattage and larger battery power the ill take a look at it but I'm not really interested in a new device if all it will do is give me a new fashion accessory. For me is going to have to be near perfect for me to buy another MVP. Most importantly to me is it will need to deliver precise power and not fluctuate on its power at all.

Well, it finally happened. Someone in our accounting dept. complained and got Vaping banned in the office.

Good things never last when selfish people are involved.

Now I have to go outside in the Fl heat to vape.

My day ( at least my positive frame of mind ) is ruined.

Not a good thing for someone in sales [emoji35]

On a lighter note, I am 9 months smoke free and I won't let some TROLL ruin that!

Vaping in the uk is getting banned indoors all over the place add to that the ridiculous rules the EU want to bring in such as no tanks bigger than 2ml no liquids above 20mg/ml and it's as tho we are walking around with hand grenades not devices that have helped thousands of people stop sucking on a stick that WILL eventually kill you........

The problem is the amount of money tobacco companies give to governments in taxes means unfortunately that cash comes before health
