So I know there is a thread here somewhere but I can't seem to find it... the samples 3m is giving out is amazing stuff but I wonder does anyone have a vinyl cutter that will work on this stuff? I can't seem to get it clean and straight but I love the colors and textures of the material... so yea anyone have access to a computerized cutter that I could work something out to cut me a few? I have all the material just not a cutter and I have scrapped 3 pieces already trying to get it right. TIA

How thick is the vinyl and do you have a link for free samples?

If you know a stamper/scrapbooker who has a Silhouette Cameo you may be able to try cutting a test sample of your material using this die-cutter. It is capable of cutting vinyl (as well as other materials). The maximum thickness it can cut is 31.5 mils (0.8mm). The maximum size is 12"x12".

Just a thought.

Have you considered contacting J Wraps? They may provide a service where you can provide them with your material and they would cut it.

I got my police box (and now my second one ) from a vendor in OK City, on ebay, and pull the paper away from you as you put it on using a plastic ruler ..

they have thicker ones that are simulated croc that looked cool, maybe Ed will let me put one on one of his.

( know not 3m or their samples *lol* but I love 'em, for the contact paper 3m makes I used an exacto knife )

I used an exacto knife after making a template. The leather was hard to cut but this is the prototype. I will use an exacto knife when I do vinyl.
