well after 6 months of using my MVP2 the threads have stripped is there any way i can replace them or do i now just have a big paper weight?

You could try an Ego adapter and try to install that with very thin wire wrapped around the stripped thread.

My vot would be to use an adapter the mvp2 isnt really made for us to be able to take apart. Which one good reason to alway keep one around once you have the proper knowledge of course.
