Here's a quick, rough vid so you get the idea :)

Go slow and don't worry about the starter wraps being sloppy - we get rid of them at the end and you'll have the tightest micro coil you've ever seen :)

wow, I've never seen anyone do it like that, great technique!

I'll go down to the store and get some 29gauge tomorrow and try it!

I'd do it tonight but since we're rapidly heading for -20 temps I'm in not going anywhere

Proper videos. To the point w/o the small talk and repetitiveness. Good fresh info to boot.

Your 1.5 ohm looks pretty hot, looks hot as my 1.2 ohm 3/32" twisted 30GA. My 18350 and myself will be happy if find satisfaction at 1.5. I am interested in efficiency.

I like your dense wick. I never had luck w/ the" less is more" inside coil cotton wick. I do have luck w/ auto dripper less is more through tank deck hole.

Now, if I can get that sucker to wick quick enough, my batt may get a breather now and again.

I was showing my boyfriend my coil, he doesn't smoke or vape and he asked me why they don't just sell cheap pre-made coils?
I am not how to answer his question, lol

I have yet to figure out if they can't make or don't want to make a proper coil.
Maybe the latter, because a proper coil lasts longer than a tootsie roll pop.

google "pre-wrapped coils". you'll find some decent horribly expensive ones from US vendors, and some horrible, but dirt-cheap ones from china.

It all depends on how you define "horribly expensive." Avid Vaper sells pre-made coils for about $1 each. Granted, when you compare that to the cost of a 30 ft. roll of kanthal plus wicking material, it is high, but it is much less than the hit-or-miss pro tank coils sold by my local b&m for $2.50 each.

i agree. i actually bought some of the AV ones when i got my first RDA. i have old man eyes, and for all intents and purposes, am one-handed.

i soon discovered, however, that for me, wrapping the coils was the easy part. getting the wires into those teensy-tiny post holes and wicking takes me longer.

if Avid Vapor could pull off that for me, i'd gladly pay a buck or so :)
