RDA My 1st RDA, how'd I do?

I decided to step up from a KangerTech Sub Mini to a dripper. The guy at the shop made my 1st coil to show me how to do it. I just wrapped a coil to try my hand it. I know it could be better, but I am happy for my 1st try. Below is the rundown, how did I do? I’m sure I am going to get real active in this forum with tons of questions.


ipv 4S 120 watt
Baal El Diablo
Kanthal A-1 24 ga.
Japanese Cotton

Well you have good gear but how many wraps what diameter coil, is it dual or single coil? These are just as important when explaining your build. Hope you have fun building away. Any questions just ask and I'm sure there will be someone to help you out.

6/5 wrap, 3.2mm inside diameter, single coil. Came out to .47 ohms on the ohm meter. device is showing .56 ohms.

How's it working out for you? And my IPv4 shows the resistance a little hi also.

When using it to vape it has been working great. I am still using my Sub mini a lot. At work and driving I'm not using the dripper. Making coils is a lot easier than I thought it would be. I am starting to research dual coils now.

Hahahaha yeah it is addicting to say the least. I now have 25 rdas 5 rtas 1 rdta and about 12 subohm tanks. Nevermind my 2 DNA 200's and 6 other TC devices. I still have saved a lot of money from quitting smoking analogs.

Got a drippe yesterday. This was my first build. I think 6 wrap 22awg. How'd I do for my first.. I'm not use to this. And how many puffs do you guys go before you redrip? I got a horrible dry hit and took my breath away.. ouch

I take about 10-15 one second inhales on most of my RDAs. I know a lot of people like to drag longer though lol.

I'm finally trying my luck in the rda world. Been currently building on a smok tfv4 rta, and yesterday broke down and ordered my first rda, a twisted messes. I'm sure I will also have a slew of questions to follow so thanks in advance for the answers lol.

Hahaha you'll be addicted. It's nice because you can build what you like and you don't have to buy 20$packs of coils

Any advice for a good build to start with? I know I'll venture out in time, but looking for a good starting point.

I'd start with 22g. Thick and easy for a starter. 5 wrap on a 3mm screwdriver, should bring you to 0.5 ohm then add another one and its 0.25

Thanks. I'm assuming I did good on my choice for an rda? Gonna get to work wrapping coils after work. Another question. Single or dual cool?

I honestly don't think there's such thing as a bad rda. I'm new to them aswell. And go dual coil.
