i have a silver bullet (for 3 months now), and bought the 18650 batts from altsmoke. i had my battery on the charger alllll day, like over 10 hours waiting for the light to go green. i had my hubby test it with his voltmeter, and it read 4.2v and they are supposed to be 3.7, and the light is still red. 2 questions, does this mean my charger is busted, and 2, arent these batteries supposed to be protected against overcharging? are my batteries bad? I put them in the bullet, and they are working fine, should i get a new charger? do i need to be concerned about the 4.2 volts?

I just received my SB and BB from Alt smoke today, and got the batteries from them too. The 14500's charged right up in about 2-3 hrs. on the Trustfire charger. The 18650's were still charging - meaning the lights were still red - after five hours, so I pulled them off. Going to get an Ultrafire charger and see how that goes, but until it arrives, will just time the charging for five hours maximum after draining. Not sure if it's the charger, or the nature of the protection in the Ultrafire 18650's.

The 18650 do take a long time to charge. 5 to 6 hours is very normal. What is the output mAh on the charger?

If those batteries are 3 months old it is time to replace the batteries. I normally only get 2-3 months out of an 18650.
