So my 510 came in the mail today and has been charging for a while, but it won't be done with the initial charge until 8:45 PM. Still, the thing is pretty slick, I like the black and gold so that it looks like a pen at a distance. Can't wait to try it.

I ordered one from Drew at nhaler yesterday and he shipped it yesterday. I can't wait to get mine. have heard so many good things about the 510
Oh you both are going to love the 510, its probably one of my favorite models.
Great Vapor, great throat hit, and its pretty sturdy.
Also seems to work really well with dripping.
Only thing is the battery charges kinda stink, I just keep my PCC ion me and just keep swapping the batteries when one dies.

Yeah i heard the battery life isn't all that great, Good thing i ordered the PCC and i'll be doing it the way you are doing it using the PCC and swapping batteries out when i need
Oh, what a coincidence! I just got mine, too! AND GUESS WHAT? I was advised that I DID NOT need to specially charge the battery before using...and I am vaping now!
I was told that the batteries that come with mine are pre-charged so from the sounds of it i can just start using it right away

OK, so I saw the thing that said it was pre-charged and took it out after it had like a 4 hour charge, and vaped for a bit.
Here are my initial impressions:
-Holy ****ing **** balls!?!?!?! (I can say that right...you shouldn't be vaping if your under 18 so I assume profanity isn't an issue) That's alot of nicotine. Even with the "Low" (10mg) methol carts I ordered with it it is a MUCH stronger nicotine hit than anything I've ever had. American Spirit Blacks, hooka, even the brief unhealthy period where I would do nothing but smoke marlburough 100s while chewing 1-2 pieces of 4m nicotine gum at a time. I'm not complaining though, it dosn't seam to have the same "Jesus christ I can't walk for 5 minutes" effect that chain smoking black american spirits does. I actually am very alert but relaxed.
-Carts are wierd. I initially assumed that the mouth piece and carts would be seperate, but they aren't, that combigned with how wierd the cotton is (it seams to only work when it's tufted out a bit)
-The vegitable glycerin in the starter kits dosn't wick that well
-the battery on the 510 is crap, I'll be needing 2-3 extras. I've heared of mods and such, is there something simple like a bigger battery?
-I don't know what it is, but all the flavors, including the menthol, taste like popcorn. I've gotten used to it, but I'd like to smoke something other than popcorn. I'm going to try some other flavors. Would there be any adverse affects of adding a drop or two of pure pepermint extract/oil to the carts so that it actually tasts like mint?
-and now for some reason my american spirits tast like air, which I guess is good (I have more of a craving for the vape than the my good old indian tar sticks) but like I said, all my carts tast like popcorn.
So, I like it, but I have a new shopping list:
-2 extra batteries
-extra atomizer
-extra empty carts and lots of flavors in no-nic/very low nic juice

Grats on the 510! Excellent choice. Agree with you about the nicotine/throat hit impression...I physically *can't* smoke my 510 as much as I'd like to. 
Flavors are going to taste weird to you for a while; if you want my advice give it a week or so before you go nuts ordering new flavors. I didn't get my sense of taste back for a really long time after I quit -- maybe a month. When I go back now and taste the flavors that I put away because they didn't taste like anything, they taste quite strong to me.
The peppermint oil probably wouldn't kill you, but if it's oil-based it might kill your atomizers. You could check out the do-it-yourself liquids part of the forum for some advice on strengthening flavors. A lot of people use candy flavorings like Lorann's to bump up the taste on liquids.

You're right! I never realized it, but my liquids never tasted that good for the first week or so after quitting.
They all tasted the same.
Now I can finally distinctly tell the difference between Apple and 555!
I can pick out the nutty creamy flavor of the 555, when before I couldn;t do it.
Wow... it never dawned on me.

This is the first day of the rest of your life.
Your 510 will season in a couple days......you're taste buds will change in a few days and the nicotine hit will calm down when you get away from the analog's and get used to it. Also the battery might get better after a couple charges. So extra parts and juice are always handy but it will take a couple days to know exactly what you will need.(strength and flavor wise) I always recommend trying samplers first. Everything that sounded gross to vape was good and everything I thought would be good was not so much. Of course everything taste's better than burnt leaves.
